Very nice abbey,not all ornate and overdone like some. Easy to get too and park with a nice little cafe by the road. Makes for a very pleasant day.

This place is part of the history almost 1000 years old standing tall and in a grand way.Part of the 11 Benedictine monastery's in the region of Lazio,Umbria and Molise.Find your peace and tranquility here.Please note, dogs are not allowed inside the abbey but are welcome in the outer garden.

We were given a guided tour by a priest in the congregation. This is not usual. It's history and simplicity are charming and help to put the role of this church into perspective for the times in which it was built. Some beautiful glass and alabaster windows and wonderful acoustics.

Beautiful Cistercians abbey built my the monks. It has nice capital room for prayers and has nice church, the library with ancient books and has nice construction architect. The pharmacy providing herbal oil and medicine made by monks.

Do visit if possible. The church within the Abbey brings you back centuries. The gift shop has some fascinating liquors also.

The monks here make their own digestive called Tintura Imperiale and it cures a dodgy belly in a flash (you dilute a capful with water). They also sell other mainly locally made products (made at the cathedral and or in Rome). This place is also incredibly popular for tourists (not frequent due to location) and newly weds for photo opps. A must-visit if u r in the area.

Un luogo magico, sereno, maestoso e affascinante. Un grazie particolare alla signora del museo che ti spiega tutto con passione facendoti immergere nella storia. Negozietto di prodotti naturali piccolo ma ben fornito. Unica pecca non farei entrare macchine x parcheggiare visto che hanno un grandissimo parcheggio gratis proprio davanti.

Abazia cistercense costruita nel 1003 d.c. trattasi di una delle più antiche abazzie dell'ordine cistercense in italia. Attualmente vi risiedono 25 monaci. Di grande impatto emotivo, una menzione particolare alla bella biblioteca, 75.000 volumi i più antichi risalgono all' anno mille. Consigliato

L’Abbazia di Casamari è uno dei monumenti italiani più antichi dell’arte gotico-cistercense. Il complesso si trova nel territorio di Veroli in provincia di Frosinone, dove un tempo sorgeva la cittadina romana di Cereatae Marianae, luogo di culto della dea Cerere ma anche luogo in cui nacque e crebbe il condottiero Caio Mario🏛

🎶 Peculiare è anche l’organo a canne dell’Abbazia, Mascioni Opus 542 a trasmissione elettrica con 2 tastiere e 1525 canne
