We had read the large number of negative reviews regarding the service/attitude of the owner, however we thought we'd try it anyway as the food sounded so good.

Absolutely no complaints. The food was even better than we expected and, maybe its a result of the negative reviews, the owner and service were excellent.

We were made to feel very welcome and he was not at all rude. It's been the best meal we've had all holiday and would definitely go back.

Amazing place. We ate there 3 times in a week. Silvia Gianni are fantastic, great personality, better food. Absolutely recommend.

Amazing food, and really friendly service. This place has a lot of character with it's traditional theme and setting. The food was amazing, especially the tripe and gnocchi. Combined with the cold cuts plate was a lot of food and appropriately priced. We also got a local bottle of wine recommended by our very friendly server, Gianni. Will definitely return.

A delicious place with an impressive number of Michelin signs. We tried pasta, duck breast, salad with oranges, wines, and panna cotta. All these were great! ❤

I loved everything about my experience at Da Alighiero while staying at the Tuscan villa airbnb nearby. The server was an older, warm and friendly woman, and she indulged me with my beginner Italian skills to order in Italian. She could speak English of course, so when I didn’t know a word, she still understood me.
We ordered several dishes and shared them amongst us five and they accommodated our request to do so.
The highlight of the meal for me was the panna cotta with homemade rose jelly 🤤. It was the best dessert I had in all of Italy!

Wonderful food! The mushroom gnocchi is nothing like you have had before! Quaint spot and lovely staff.

One of the best of not the best in Anghiari. The charming decor, the attentive and friendly staff and of course the large selection of wine and delicious dishes.
The fillette di Manzo (pork fillet) was exquisite.
Highly recommend this place. Don't miss the desert. We had cantucci and vinsanto too complete the dinner. Wonderful.

My girlfriends and their daughters and 1 were so blessed to spend a morning with Silvia, who showed us and taught us how to make beautiful authentic Italian dishes that we could make at home. She was fun, gracious and very generous. We then sat down for lunch with our husbands and kids and all got to enjoy the fabulous meal we all made. It was one of my top three meals on my long holiday in Italy. So I highly recommend Silvia for a cooking class or eating at her restaurant. Do not miss this unique and traditional experience.

What a fantastic place!

- definitely one of the best lunches I've ever had in Italy (among others I enjoyed a superb dish with 3 of their signature pastas). To top it off the staff (owners?) was also super kind and I genuinely felt they went out of their way to make our short visit unforgettable!

We had two wonderful dinners at Da Alighiero where Sylvia and Gianni create a great dinning experience. The Italians do it right with smaller portions so you can have two or three courses and not feel stuffed. The green pasta with ricotta and sauteed spinach was amazing. Followed by a small Filet Mignon cooked with olive oil which was out of this world!

Another stunning meal in Anghiari, this time at Da Alighiero. Owned and run by Sylvia with Gianni, they have produced a fantastic menu along with a very good Italian cellar. Lots of Michelin guide stickers tells you it's consistently good and that's backed up when you try it. The duck for main course is beautiful. As is the sheep cheese with honey. A truly charming place. Enjoy!

We were traveling in Italy and we went back to this fantastic restaurant for my birthday lunch- what a gourmet celebration! Sylvia and Gianni are so welcoming and the food is the best! Two years ago we took a cooking class with Sylvia that was so much fun. We are still using her recipes to share with our friends. This is a
must-eat restaurant!
