Castello di Vicarello

Castello di Vicarello was recommended by a friend who described it as a place he would consistently return to. My friend’s description did not disappoint. Castello do Vicarello is incredibly special.

The rooms are gorgeous, the view breath-taking and the team works so hard to ensure the guests have a perfect stay. I still remember the peaceful nights and the lovely song birds that wake one up in the morning. The family dog watches over the hotel and, for those of you with dogs, I guarantee that the sound of paws walking across the room instantly will make you feel at home. Food was delicious and cocktails/wine outstanding. I am positive my husband and I will return here again — the only question is, how soon can we go?!

Truly the most magical place! We stayed for three nights during our honeymoon and never wanted to leave. We booked the spa suite and it was the best decision we made, we spent an entire day on the deck, drinking wine and enjoying the hot tub. Every meal was delicious and the staff went above and beyond for every meal, request and more. Our favorites were the candlelight dinners and incredible, fresh breakfasts all with produce and items from their farms. The property is beautiful as well, every detail is well thought out and perfectly curated. We will be back.

Came here for one night during our honeymoon and wish we could have stayed longer. We stayed in the spa room. It had every amenity including a Dyson hairdryer. The steam room and sauna were spacious but the best part of the room was the outdoor hot tub and view. The room looked out over the most beautiful rolling hills vineyards and pastures. I couldn’t even read a book because I didn’t want to look away. The staff were incredible and helped us book massages, wine tours and more via WhatsApp. I don’t think I’ve had better service at a hotel. Food was excellent and wine was award winning. Our only wish was to stay longer ♥

Castello di Vicarello is a hidden gem. It was quiet, romantic, luxurious, and beautiful. The layout of the hotel makes it feel private, and as if you have the hotel all to yourself. The decor, the property, and the attention to detail is impeccable.
We stayed here as part of our honeymoon and did not want to leave; not just because of how beautiful it is but also because of the staff. The staff was so kind and you can tell everyone enjoys what they do. Each staff member made our stay memorable, and we can’t wait to come back and see them.
The food was outstanding, I appreciate their concept of farm to table because every dish had so much flavor and tasted fresh. The cooking class with Giuseppe was 10/10. Giuseppe was so patient with us and our cooking “skills”, he made it fun but made sure we could go back home and repeat what we had learned.
We felt right at home and feel so lucky to have experienced the charm of Castello di Vicarello. The owners have created an unparalleled culinary and hotel experience.

What a wonderful stay! I'm gonna miss this place so much.

The air, the environment, the service are very good. Every corner of the castello is worthy of a magazine shoot.

Experience projects such as Italian cooking classes and leather making workshops, making things yourself, will be very focused and relaxing.

If you want to get away from the daily grind and spend a few days of fairytale leisure, it is highly recommended to grab your loved one and stay here for a few days!

Me and my husband came here for our honeymoon and had the most perfect weekend. The hotel is incredible, every corner is beautiful. The food was delicious and the staff was very kind. We did a cooking class with the owner and another couple and it was lovely. You feel as though a family invited you over for a stay in their beautiful castle. Would highly recommend!

I feel so privileged to have had an opportunity to stay here! We were surrounded by olive groves and grape vineyards, fresh herbs and vegetable gardens the chef used for his fabulous dishes, and lemon trees and pomegranate trees scattered throughout. There was such simplicity elevated to a level that left us speechless. From the time we arrived we were greeted by staff that truly loved where they were. Our cooking class gave us an opportunity to make new friends, learn from our world class chef and take home new skills in Italian cuisine. When we said goodbye, there were cold waters waiting in our car with a kind note, reminding us of their thankfulness that we chose to stay with them and for us to enjoy our tour of the Tuscan countryside. The service is espectacular, the hotel is beautiful, the bedrooms make you feel like if you are in a fairy tale, every detail of the hotel’s decoration is so well thought! It’s such a cozy place, we went during the fall and the fire place was on. Last, the spa cabin is in the middle of the Olive tress and you can hear the birds while doing the massage. I strongly recommend this hotel.

Staying at Castillo di Vicarello was our favorite vacation we’ve ever taken. The property is absolutely beautiful and couldn’t be more peaceful, with the perfect mix of modern and traditional (from hundreds of years ago) architecture.

With only 9 rooms at the entire hotel, it feels incredibly private. The rooms themselves are spread out. The staff is extremely kind and gets to know you during your stay. Michelle is a fantastic host and Max is an amazing chef, both are very accommodating.

The food was definitely a major highlight and we loved biking around the Tuscan hills with the e-bikes the hotel offers complimentary. We can’t wait to go back!

My boyfriend and I had the most incredible stay at Castello di Vicarello. The property is beautiful, the rooms are amazing, the facilities are great, but what makes this hotel so special is the amazing and attentive staff. Everyone was friendly, kind and welcoming. The service was excellent. We stayed for 4 nights and we did not leave the property because we loved being there so much. We took a cooking class with the chef which was so much fun and had an excellent wine tasting experience with the hotel's sommelier who was so knowledgeable. On our last night, we had a private dinner on the property which the staff made so special for us. We absolutely loved our visit and will definitely come back in the future.

We stayed at Castello di Vicarello during our honeymoon. It was by far our favorite place to stay during our two week adventure around Europe. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay memorable and of course Uva (the family dog) made us feel at home. We will absolutely visit again!

We spent 3 days in Castello. The infinity pool overlooking one of the vineyards and surrounding hills is spectacular. We did a wine tasting which was very enjoyable and insightful. The food and wine is great and the staff ties everything together for an authentic Tuscan experience. Thank you.

We had the absolutely best time at Castello! Incredible service, unlike anywhere I have ever stayed. In particular, Marcela was so helpful setting up excursions! The food was also unreal, we recommend the Eggs Purgatorio for breakfast!

The most romantic magical stay I have ever experienced. We felt like real kings and queens of this dreamy castle. The team hosting and caring for you are so kind and welcoming.

My girlfriend and I spent 2 nights here on a surprise trip and I proposed. Their service was amazing, from helping me plan the special moment to coordinating the photographer- everything. The hotel is by far the most beautiful hotel we’ve been to, and the best part is given how spread out it is you truly feel like you have the entire hotel to yourself. Neri knows what he’s doing, and Michelle who heads the client experience is amazing. As far as stays in Tuscany goes, there is nowhere better and it’s not even close. Highly highly highly recommend.

It's hard to put into words how incredibly special our time was at Castello di Vicarello. Pictures and videos do not do the property justice but as absolutely breathtaking the grounds and rooms are, what really made our time there was the people. At the heart of Castello di Vicarello is a team of amazing humans working together to create a magical and personal experience for their guests. Before we even arrived Alexandra helped us in creating an itinerary that included wine tasting, a cooking class, bike ride, massage and meal reservations. Upon our arrival and throughout our time there Michelle was extremely kind and helpful, every time we got to interact with her was a delight. During our wine tasting, it felt like our sommelier Astra was sharing her magic with us. Her passion and knowledge was truly captivating. Not to mention she helped us at almost every meal with finding the perfect pairing for whatever food we chose. The food and service during all of our meals could not have been better. We had the delight of having Daniella as our server for most of our meals and she made our experience extra special every time. We also got to do our cooking class with Chef Max who is a magician. It was one of our favorite activities, he started by taking us into the garden and showing us the true meaning of farm to table. He showed us where each ingredient came from and how he incorporates them into his dishes. We then got to cook a three course meal that included making our own pasta that we later got to sit down and eat together. In addition to all of the staff being amazing, we had the opportunity to create friendships with the other guests as well. The small intimate setting and group activities made this easy and it was another beautiful surprise throughout our time at Castello di Vicarello. I could continue on about every other person and activity but I'll end with saying if you are thinking of booking a trip here, just do it. It is pure magic.

This is truely a home away from home. Rarely you will find such a friendly and relaxed staff. The location and the views are amazing and we only left the premise to take a hike. Cooking class with chef Max was such a great experiense and if you visit an absolut must on the to-do list. Just as the massage is, she has truly magic hands. Needless to say that the food and wine are amazing. The Spa Suite with 100% privacy in its own house, with sauna, steam bath and outside jaquizzi is an experience all should have. We will be back.

This place was an absolute dream! My husband and I booked a 4-day stay during our honeymoon and we loved it. The staff is very attentive - all of them! We booked a cooking class with chef Max and a wine tasting experience with Astrid. They're both very knowledgeable. The surrounding areas of the castello are wonderful for a 2-mile easy hike. Oh, and if you're coming with children, do not worry about their dog Uva. She is very very gentle and so good with the little ones.

Beautiful and heavenly experience from beginning to end! Top tier service, food, views, and place. Everyone really took the time and care to make sure we had an unforgettable and unique stay. We felt as if we were in our own castle and cannot wait to be back!
