Osteria Melograno

A place no doubt have to visit again. A late wake up morning and late after 15:00 visits in Angera. Unexpected surprise wonderful experience. Nice welcome staff with professional wine and food suggestion. Even though late visit without second course options. But the paster and Gnocchi is much much more than brilliant. Especially the spicy one with anchovies is harmony ( too hungry to take pictures before finished 😆) And Tiramisu is the one worth to travel far away from to taste. Flash brew strong coffee with thick Mascarpone is die for choice. Can’t wait to taste their signature menu very soon.

All the essential ingredients for a fantastic experience. Melograno has it all with Chef Luca in the kitchen and Maitre’d Pasquale running from of house. Spectacular 👍👍

My review goes actually to the bistrot melograno just opposite the restaurant, a friendly environment with just a few tables, perfect to relax and have a drink, a vast choice of wines, what else does one need? And there comes a small but tasty dish to accompany everything. I think that everything always stands between the lines... this place is perfect. Good job!

Excellent food and good wine selection. Very nice steak selection from different types of beef and different regions that the Chief will prepare on the open fire for you. Not cheap but worth it.

Excellent restaurant! Friendly and welcoming staff, high quality food and an extensive wine menu. We were made to feel very welcome even though we are tourists and struggle to communicate smoothly. We understand more than we speak!

A bit more upmarket than some other restaurants we tried in the area but you get what you pay for... there is a reasonably priced tasting menu that we can recommend.

What a great place hidden away from main street. From the moment we walked in we were made to feel really welcome. The waiter went out of his way to explain all the dishes in English, and made some great recommendations. The food was outstanding and the recommended wine to accompany the meal was spot on. Not the cheapest, but definitely worth the money. I hope you enjoy your meals as much as we did if you go here.

We ate here with our 2 very picky teens. We were all delighted with both the food and the service. We have all eaten in, what are considered, excellent restaurants around the world and we all agreed that the food at Osteria Melograno was some of the best. And, while the food was excellent so was the service, perfectly timed, humerus and absolutely charming. Thank you!

If you are in Angera, this is the place to eat. Every time they bring food to other table you get really torn. My wrong own food was absolutely a treat but the other one too looks and smells like it was made for some roman gods. So you are ready to order every single dish from the whole damn menu by the time you've done there.

Incredible restaurant, with impeccable service and exceptional food for a more than reasonable price. I absolutely recommend if you want to taste Italian food in its best!

Amazing place! Perfect food and very nice staff!
The first course- gnocchi and second- deer with polenta and also horse beef for my pertner were amazing! Porcini risotto smelled amazing and tasted apparently even better (the couple next to us had it and liked it a lot). We would recommend this place to everyone. It's a "must visit" restaurant!

One of my favorite restaurant in the neighbourhood. Excellent italian food with a talented chef who puts great care. Excellent quality of the ingredients. Tiramisu in Tazza, the best Tiramisu served directly in an illy capuccino cup. They have a great courtyard quiet and very nicely decorated. The staff is extremely friendly and very professionnal. I strongly recommend.

After the fifth visit, still our favorite restaurant in the Lago Maggiore area. Fantastic pasta dishes (which my friend who lived in Italy for four years declared the best she had ), melt-in-your-mouth meats, tiramisu to die for (I took mine back to the hotel so I could savor the experience over multiple nights) and of course wonderful service - friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. Enthusiastic thumbs up! Already looking forward to our next visit!

Awesome experience, absolut perfect food and exceptionell quality. We Had three courses and Steaks. Tartar with truffels was one of the best Starters we ever Had. Service 1A.
