Mama Sea

Amazing place and amazing staff! We had the best sea food dishes since a long time. Very fresh and tasty. Francisco has a really good way of offering the best service. He made great suggestions, as if he knew exactly what we needed and took good care of us. We really had a great evening at Mama Sea and we will definitely come back for more.

Wonderful personnel, perfect behaviour, super drinks and snacks and atmosphere’s one hell of a banger, can’t wait to taste their food, will definitely update the review after I’ll taste it.

This place was amazing!! The atmosphere was very calming and the view is beautiful overlooking the water! The waiters were all very professional and took care of or needs in ordering. The music was a range of old, classic and new which was refreshing. At night after 9pm, you can expect more people to fill this place. You can bring kids or date or family. The food is absolutely delicious and the pasta I had with mussels were the best! Forgive me, but I cannot remember the name in Italian😅. I would definitely recommend this place and will tell my business partners, friends and coworkers to come here!

Away from home on Christmas is very hard, but this outstanding restaurant and beautiful venue sitting on the Mediterranean, uplifted and transcended our groups spirits within minutes of arriving. It might of been the perfectly constructed cocktails, or the generous portions of perfectly prepared seafood, but I think it was the warm and gracious way we were met by Franco, Carmelo, Veree, and Elleverra that made the event perfect for our group. I recall looking across the table during the meal and thinking it is not everyday that you have a meal that you will remember for the rest of your life. Mama Sea provided that type of event to a group of refined world travelers. BRAVO and thank you for your time and talents.

My husband and I ate there 4 times during our stay in Catania. Francesco and Fabian were outstanding with making the atmosphere welcoming and they both gave top notch service. The food was excellent and we can’t wait until our next trip to Sicily to eat there again!

Great place. Super friendly staff, tasty pasta, calamars, clams, octopus, shrimps.

The atmosphere and service was top of the line , The food was just okay I am sure they can do better but you can't go wrong with this place it is situated right on the beach with good staff and music.

This a lovely place with excellent food. I had the Pizza Norma Pizza twice and was probably one of the best pizzas I have ever had. My wife pasta and that was excellent too.

One of the best restaurants we have ever been to. Special greetings to the outstanding director Mr Francesco, it is very likely that without him this whole fun would not have been possible! I invite everyone who loves great food and of course who wants to meet Mr. Francesco! Also the waiter Loris is very kind and optimist!!
P.S. Mr Francesco wears black glasses! Don’t be afraid of speaking to him!

Very nice lido in Catania. You go down steps straight into the sea with the Lido built out over the rocks. Just have to be careful not to scratch your knees as you enter/leave the water.

We have dined at Mama Sea as a family twice during our stay in Catania, both times with children. It has a fantastic hybrid (kidless and family friendly) atmosphere with DJ and plenty of time to enjoy the experience outdoors. Francesco took care of us both days and remembered our preferences - he was fabulous.

Now to the food - pizza dough was one of the best we’ve had in Italy, drinks well made, tasty sushi and burgers had sweet potato fries nicely done. Quality and value were in harmony. Each time we were treated like an extended family and we saw families coming in to celebrate milestones together each night at Mama Sea - a great sign of patronage. People dressed well and took pride in being there together - the lounge was a great escape from a busy day. I have been to hundreds of restaurants worldwide, traveling with children shows the place differently and this place marks itself as tasty and fun for everyone - I recommend it!

We want to thank Chichi for all the hospitality he gave us. He makes us to feel at home all the time. The food and the service was perfect. Thank you Francesco for all. We'll be back just because of you!

Quality of food is top-notched. You will definitely keep coming for Seafood pasta and pizza. Lovely place to chill, socialized and enjoy the food with family.

The food was amazing! The staff was very friendly, made excellent menu recommendations, and able to translate everything into English. Awesome dining experience!

We like this restaurant very much. We had bruschetta with swordfish and with tomato basil. For entree we had seafood assortment grilled. Everything was delicious. We would recommend Mama Sea to anyone who loves seafood.

Service was excellent, and food suggestions selected for us were great.
