What truly elevated the experience, however, was the quality of the food. The restaurant boasted an impressive menu, and I had the pleasure of savoring their exceptional seafood dishes. The freshness of the ingredients was evident, and the flavors were skillfully crafted. I particularly relished their seafood platter, featuring an assortment of succulent prawns, mussels, and perfectly grilled fish.

The service was impeccable, with attentive staff who were well-versed in the menu and readily available for recommendations. The combination of the breathtaking bay view, outstanding cuisine, and attentive service made this restaurant an unforgettable dining experience. I would highly recommend it to anyone seeking a delightful meal with a bay view that's second to none.

Take the train to this charming little town from Roma (45 min), also the place for the Pope's summer home. Just up the hill is this lovely restaurant with a beautiful view of the lake. We enjoyed wine, antipasta, and pasta. After a wonderful meal, we visited their wine cellar that holds 35,000 bottles of wine and wonderful collectables. Very much enjoyed this little day trip.

Such a special restaurant with spectacular views and unique dishes. The best meal I've had since arriving in Rome a week ago. The staff are so nice and attentive. We even had a tour of the wine cellar. This family run business since 1882 is a gem!

It is good, especially the starters. Salmon and strawberry carpaccio was wonderful, and the different salumi are tasty, especially goose. The menu is very varied.
The history of the place is beautiful and the wine cellar museum is worth visiting.

The the literally the best experience I have ever had at a restaurant. Between the ambiance, food, wine and sunset view over the lake it was breath taking. Few restaurants in the Rome area live up to the price tag when it comes to fine dining and this one does. The staff was professional, curious, and funny. They spoke English well, too! I will say, don’t under estimate the desert. The portions are filling so save room. The best courses were as follows cacio e Pepe (it was way the heck too good for just being cacio), the desert which was a type of pudding, a fruit tart, and lemon cheese, the main course of lamb and veal (the veal was better), the appertivo (see the menu it was all good. Shockingly I loved the vegetable cake), and lastly the pumpkin ravioli only because my expectations were set high from the cacio the round before.

Very nice place ,with a beautiful view at the lake. Delicious dishes. The restaurant has a 142-years history and maintains the traditional italian-roman kitchen!

Beautiful restaurant located on top of Castel Gandolfo's lake. (Rome). The atmosphere was amazing, dimmed lights and professional sommelier/waiters made our night out.
I would recommend to pay a visit to their impressive wine cellar, including the VIP's signed wine bottles. 100% recommended.

One of the best dining experiences in Rome. Amazing dishes, superb wine selection with over 30,000 bottles in their magnificent cellar and some fine desserts, aperitifs and grappa.

I'm no wine expert but the wine cellar here is like a museum of vintners and a great, cool place to dine during the summer in its own right.

Staff were super-friendly, decor was very elegant and the view of the volcanic lake is incomparable.

It was one of the best restaurants visiting. It is amazing food and a big family history on the basement floor. I bought one of the amazing wine of 1970 years old. 😍

A gem of fine dining with peaceful lake view, elegant aristocratic ambience, delicious plates with a twist, complementary apperitivo, elegant staff… above all, there’s a wine museum and a grand space to invite all your friends for a big festivity. Certamente ritorniamo! Grazie mille.

This place is an absolut MUST. A one of a kind wine cellar and museum at the same time. The Restaurant has a very romantic view, excellent food, perfect professional service without being snobbish. Very friendly and attentive. The prices I consider to be moderate but in any case value for money. If one think it is with for him to drink a little of wine for € 2.000 then he can nur he can also have a little of wine for € 30 and the Service will not Show any signe of arrogance. The wine Menü is impressive and tempting. Nur no fear the truely excellent Lady somelier will Guido you without any kind of overselling.

Excellent view over the lake, the food was delicious, I had the risotto with truffles and a veggie appertiser, the pasta was good. A little bit expensive, but well worth it..
