During my recent trip to Rome, Italy, I had the pleasure of renting a car from Avis Car Rental, and I must say, it was an experience that truly impressed me.

One employee, particularly Cristian, stood out for his exceptional customer service and attention to detail. He took the time to address a concern we had noticed – the possibility that the car had been smoked in before our rental. This level of honesty and transparency was greatly appreciated and demonstrated Avis's commitment to providing a high standard of service.

Despite the minor issue, the car itself was clean, well-maintained, and perfectly suited to our needs. It performed admirably throughout our journey, allowing us to explore the beautiful sights of Rome and its surrounding areas with ease and comfort.
Throughout the rental period, Cristian and the rest of the Avis team were always available to assist us with any questions or concerns we had. Their professionalism and dedication to ensuring customer satisfaction were evident in every interaction, making the rental process smooth and stress-free.

Returning the car was just as straightforward as picking it up, with Cristian and the team efficiently processing the paperwork and ensuring that everything was in order.

Overall, my experience with Avis Car Rental in Rome, Italy, was outstanding, thanks in no small part to the exemplary service provided by employee Cristian. Very easy rental. We did everything online before we arrived so we just walked up and got in our car. Returning was also super easy. When you return use the left hand entrance for rental cars.

You can easily walk from your terminal to Avis. The counter is easily accessible and the wait time was short. I use the app so pick up is easy and the cars are right outside the Avis office. There is plenty of signage to find your way in and out of the airport so the stress is low. I always use Avis for this consistency.

A smooth transaction start to finish. Very nice and helpful staff, and a clean, well-functioning car. We were in a foreign country and they made it easy.

Avis in Città della Pieve. The people whom work there are always helpful, understanding and accommodating. Every person I have ever
interacted with are pleasant to deal with, willing to listen and always have a solution. Highly recommended!

The price for a 3-days rental was convenient. It was easy to reserve the car to be picked up at Roma airport, just a few minutes there to have the contract and car keys ready, the car worked fine ( please see note below ), and the return was very easy, at no extra cost, at Rome Center Budget Office.

NOTE: The assigned car made a notable noise at the moment of pushing the break pedal. I reported it at the moment of returning, being sure Budget will take care of that.

I had a good experience with AVIS at Fiumicino Airport. The pick-up car hiring procedure was smooth and efficient. The staff was friendly and helpful, and I didn't have to wait long to get my rental car. The process was well-organized, and the vehicle was clean even if with some damages on the car body anyway properly documented in the contract. Overall, it was a hassle-free and pleasant experience, making my trip out from Fiumicino Airport stress-free.

Rented in January 2024. Overall a good experience. Inexpensive compared to the rentals in the US. The car was small and clean. No complaints.

The car was ready upon arrival without having to wait for already available information to be filled in again. Everything else was good and according to expectations but the check in was extraordinary!

We rented a little VW 5 speed. Drove it 2,500 kilometers in all sorts of conditions. Great car. Easy to pick up and drop off- the Avis/Budget personnel were fabulous to work with, and helpful both at check out and upon return. Note: the physical location of the cars at the airport is not well marked. Especially if coming by train or taxi from an off the airport location. Do a little map reaserach in advance..

Professionalism, kindness and competence of the staff at the front desk of the Rome airport office and of the return office in Pesaro. I always had a nice experience with Avis.

I saw a lot of negative reviews but want to share mine. I did sign up for the "Preferred" program so I was able to go to the service desk out in the Garage. The staff were prompt and friendly and my car was ready to go with keys and rental agreement in the car, they gave me my position number and off I went. I rent from both Avis and Hertz and Avis is a little quicker in Rome though both are fast. My car was in good condition and tank was full. I returned the car and quickly received my receipt noting all was good. You're required to get full coverage in Italy so not sure I understand the concerns about recording "damage". I have rented in Italy for 30 years and between hail storms, some locals (Naples!!) hitting my car I have never gotten grief from the rental company.

If you’re traveling in Italy, reserve a small car like we did, it is absolutely necessary for the tiny roads and parking in the places we went in southern Italy and Sicily. The car was clean and drove well, the previous scratches were marked on the contract. Air play worked great and the car had multiple languages to choose. Though we worked with an agent prior to departure using their quick check in, but our name was not on the kiosk. Though when we made it up to the desk they had all our information and we proceeded quickly. We returned our car before they were open and our bill was exactly as expected, no surprises!

Budget Rental at Rome Airport is excellent. Easy to find. Efficient and attentive service by Jessica at the counter. Excellent car. Seamless pickup and drop off. Definitely will go back again.

Easy and fast registration via QuickPass, fast return during off hours, probably the fastest experience in picking up the car recently. Way to go!
