Helgafell

This mountain and it's huge wild nature area is probably one of the very best and most beautiful one you can find in it's variety of colours and type of earth shape only around 15km distance from the capital city Reykjavik. If you desire to enjoy few hours wondering around along paths and honestly get pretty good idea what Iceland is all about in its natural variety this this area is ideal. It's easily accessible via Hafnarfjörður town and even visiting the top of the mountain Helgafell is pretty easy for people used to hike a little...and then you can just as well have a wonderful day in the wilderness walking around the mountain or along nearby paths. Remember to bring something with you to drink/eat...and please never leave any trash in nature 🙏🏻 Highly recommended area for those who love being "by themselves" in the wilderness charging the batteries 😊

It's awesome to go out of the path to the mountain, pats is pritty hard. But it's great adventure.

Easy trail, recommend

Super hicking trail to top of the vulcano!

Hidden gem. A little hard going up.
And also finding the path.

Great place for a nice easy hike. Decent view of the peninsula. Can be a bit tough in winter if there is icing.

Nearly as fanstastic and amazing as the Sky Mountain in Jylland. Despite no lift to the top, I still give this hill 5 stars.

Tolle Wanderung und ein herrlicher Ausblick.

Ótrúlegt útsýnið á fellinu. Svolítið bratt öðrum megin en er samt nógu auðvelt að flestir ættu að geta gengið þetta.

Dásamlegur göngutúr með stóru systur og hundinum. Blés svolítið og hvasst á toppnum, smá él á niðurleiðinni en allir komust heilir og glaðir heim :D

Frábær og létt gönguleið fyrir alla fjölskylduna. Fallegt umhverfi.
