So cute. Great waffles. Hot chocolate was great (but FYI less sweet than what you get in the US). Inside was adorable but wish we ate out in the bus out back. Love!

An absolute gem of a coffeehouse. I loved everything about Simbahöllin. The cappuccino, hot chocolate, Belgium waffle (with delicious jam and whipped cream!) and chocolate chip cookie was all wonderful. Everything is homemade and you can feel the care and attention. The staff were very welcoming and made us feel at home as we enjoyed the food, space and warmth of the coffeehouse. Located in the cute town of Þingeyri just 45 minutes from Ísafjörður.

We were there in June 2019. Simply love the atmosphere of coziness and comfort and more importantly their freshly prepared waffles. The texture is a little bit airy and light so it didn't feel heavy on the stomach. simple yet very nice. Humble ambiance inside with a slight of vintage touch. Definitely worth a stop there after a long driving. Really recommend the waffles.

Stopped for a bite after a nice local hike. Their light-as-air waffles are a must! It came with rhubarb jam and fresh cream - both of which were spectacular. It was my first time having such a light and airy waffle and it makes me wish all waffles were this delicate!!! Highly recommend

We stopped here for a cofee and really excellent bread with butter, cheese and jam.
We managed to dodge the large choice of cakes and pastries...

Amazing waffles and hot chocolate! We stopped here for a break from driving and fell in love with the cocoa and waffles. Their rhubarb jam is also amazing.

After riding we fortified ourselves with a delicious waffle. Highly recommended

If you are in this area in Iceland , the Westfjords, do not miss this cafe. Everything is excellent her, even down to the nice wooden floor inside. My wife and I sat outdoors, despite
a little wind. The cappuccino was superb, and I shall not forget to mention the best Belgian waffles I have ever had. Super crispy. Udreservedly recommended.

Great coffee and espresso drinks, rustic and vintage décor. Excellent food, definitely try the Waffle's. Fantastic views and friendly staff.

This was a lovely lunch stop after Dynjandi on the way back to Isafjordur. The slight detour was worth it.

We visited the cafe in August 2023 and enjoyed a hot chocolate and a waffle before heading of to The „Valley to Sea“ horse riding tour. We, as experienced riders, really enjoyed the tour a lot - happy horses, nice guide, good food. Thank you!

A quaint little cafe in the coastal town of Þingeyri that offers Belgian waffles (they melt in your mouth, Brussels style) and assorted hot beverages. There is wifi and ample seating inside and out (an old bus serves as a cool spot when the weather is warmer). The building is a converted old Norweigan general store from 1915, however it maintains much of the charm from that era. Things like the original shelves for storing dry goods behind the counter, wall coverings and the centre island full of drawers for store goods. Definitely worth a stop. They do take cards for payment.

Being in Iceland and arrived in this cute little town surrounded by spectacular mountains and water + they serve freshly made waffles that light as air made this trip even more unforgettable.
Although. Hope the staff was a little more energetic and engaging. Or perhaps maybe they just want to give us some privacy. Anyway. It was great to stop by to have a coffee and waffles after a long bumpy drive.

Had their famous Belgian waffles with rhubarb jam and fresh cream - did not disappoint! The waffle mix they make is so airy and light so it didn't feel heavy on the stomach. The hazelnut latte I ordered was delicious. The service was quick and very friendly.
