Finally a great meal for a nice price.

We came in without a reservation, but got lucky with the last table (so my tip is reserve in advance).

The staff is very friendly and works hard without making you feel hurried

Per our hosts advice we got the Menu, one with fish and the other meat.
The soup was very tasty and filling, the carpaccio had great flavors (loved the very sauce), the steak was amazing truly, The cod was buttery soft.

The desserts both did it for me aswell they had crunch, sweet, soft and something fresh

I great restaurant in Ólafsvík! The service was friendly and knowledgeable. Shared about the different food and beer they had on tap. Learned that the fish was caught fresh daily.
I had the Cod and Seafood soup. Both were great! Also tried the Einstok Arctic Pale Ale; best Pale Ale I’ve tried myself.
Definitely recommend giving them a visit when you are near Snæfellsjökull!

I LOVE the cod taste so unique, sweet and sour sauce with a crunchy fish. This was my best dish during my Iceland trip. My husband had the ribs and its so good and very big portion. Totally worth the price.

We were amazed by the excellent food & great service. The restaurant is visited mostly by tourists and yet they provide top quality in what they do (unlike other touristy places). Highly recommended!

Stopped by for lunch by chance - we were out sightseeing and got hungry - and I'm so very glad we did! One of the best meals we had in Iceland. The cod was amazing and my daughter and husband both loved their lunches as well. Great food, great service - highly recommend!

This is for a table of 1. I ordered seafood soup, fish and chips and Einstok White Ale.

I walked in at 6pm with no reservations. The restaurant was full but the server was able to accommodate me.

I ordered based on reviews I've read from Google. The seafood soup was just the right temperature. It was drizzled with oil and seaweed. It was bomb! The serving was small but it was an appetizer and I wanted more! Next was the fish and chips, the chips were cut differently, and I really like it. The fish was fresh and succulent. It also came with a little salad and the addition of melons to salad was just flavor explosion in my mouth!

It was pricey but I think it was worth it. Converted to USD, it was about $67.

It was the only restaurant in town, aside from the gas stations..

Overall it was a great experience!

You made it to this part of Iceland, go treat yourself!

We had fish&chips and cod. Fish&chips was great. But cod was extraordinary. This is the most recommended restaurant here.

The Shellfish soup is one of the best I had! The fish was very nice and the chips that come with the burger and fish and chips is the best I have had so far in my trip across Europe this time! Definitely must try if you are in this area!

Probably the best fish dish I’ve had in my life. Our food was delayed but they were so nice and offered a 20% discount on the dish in the end. Nice and friendly staff and on your way in the peninsula to see bunch of cool places. Enjoy this place please.

the restaurant has a great location in the heart of town & overlooks the pier the Snæfellsnes Peninsula. Warm space and amazing view. The chef's recipes are excellent with the dishes I've tried: mushroom soup, grilled pork chops, seafood tempura, salads…

November 2022 - My husband and I stopped in here for a light lunch. The staff was very friendly. I had a glass of wine and my husband had a beer. My husband ordered the tempura tacos and I ordered the mushroom soup. We also shared some fries. The mushroom soup was the perfect thing to warm me up on a cold day. I had thought it might be a little thicker based on other reviews, but it was nice and light, while still tasting really creamy. The little drizzle of oil provided a nice flavor and it was served with a personal sized wheat baguette. The french fries were crispy with just the right amount of salt. My husband inhaled the tacos. They were made with some very large shrimp! All items tasted really fresh. It hit the spot.

Excellent service and great food - we were a group of eight and we all enjoyed our lunchbreak at SKER restaurant so much, that we came back the next day :)

Had a great experience here. Our waiter was great and the atmosphere is nice. I got a Swiss Mokka and my husband got a draft beer, we both loved what we got! Would love to come back to try the food because it looked delicious.

Outstanding lunch. The recommended stop by our tour guide who called ahead for all of us who wanted the daily fish special. What a treat. Super fresh fish. A beautiful presentation and taste with mashed potatoes, berries, and greens. The chocolate cake was so good that I started eating it before I took a picture. Stylish space. Some tables have a view of the harbour. Delightful.

One of the best fish and chips we had! We heard from the staff that fish used might change season to season. So ask the staff what fish they use for their fish and chips if you want.

Loved the pizza and burgers. The kid size pizza was huge, consider splitting if you have 2 young kids with average appetites. Hostess was very nice. Had a nice chat with one of the cooks. Would definitely recommend if you are touring the area.

The food was AMAZING! This place served some of the best pizza and garlic bread I’ve had to date. Could easily teach many gourmet restaurants a thing or two in Dubai about healthy and vegan food!

Wonderful meal of grilled salmon and beef Tenderloin. Service was great. Views are probably good but it was foggy the day we were there so we didn't see much.

Next time I'm in Iceland I'm making a point to come here again. Make a reservation ahead of time since it gets busy here.

The food was great, I was very skeptical about the lobster pizza but was extremely surprised by how good it was.

Prices aren't bad at all considering what you're getting and you're in Iceland where everything is more expensive.
