Rif Restaurant

This was a lovely place to eat just along the road from where we were staying. Staff all extremely friendly and the view of the harbour/ sea was lovely. All three of our meals were tasty and well cooked and also by Icelandic standards reasonably priced.

The food and view was absolutely amazing! I would HIGHLY recommend checking out this place. I ordered the corn flake chicken with sweet potato fries and the food was absolutely amazing. Everything tasted very fresh and hot. The server was also very kind. The only con was the server kept forgetting my items. She forgot to bring my sweet potato fries and NEVER brought my drink that I ordered. I’m not sure if it was a language barrier but it was a little frustrating that I repeatedly had to ask for the same things that I ordered. Also my waiter changed like 3-4 times.

This restaurant is an outstanding example of the best Icelandic hospitality and food culture. The chef was on hand to chat with guests who were dining on his amazing hand made fish & chips, fish tacos and other dishes cooked to perfection. Our servers were delightful and efficient. We will always eat there when in Hafnarfjorur.

I went there a few days back with my family. The staff demonstrated high levels of hospitality. The fish and lamb dishes here are a delight, given that they were quite fresh. It is located at a highly convenient place, accesible by public and private transport.

Great place, great food. The best cheese burger I've had in a while. And there's free refill on soda. Can't wait to come back and try out the ribs.

We went into RIF for drinks. We were warmly welcomed by the staff and the service was quick and efficient. A very enjoyable visit and one we hope to repeat in the future!

One of best quesadillas, that I ever had and my boyfriend was pleased with his steak too. Also friendly, but not overbearing, overly attentive servers, which I always appreciate. Next time we're going for a desert, because it was in our plans today, but we simply couldn't fit anything more!

Excellent atmosphere with excellent food.

Very cosy and relaxing atmosphere, it is located right in front the harbor. The food is delicious and the prices are okay.
