Álftanes Kaffi

Had a bit of time on our way to the airport and stopped here for lunch based on the excellent recommendations here. It did not disappoint. The brunch pizza (weekends only?) was excellent - I want it this every day for lunch! The owners were very welcoming.

What a lovely café in the charming suburban town of Álftanes. With antique furniture yet comfortable chairs and sofas you can leave behind the stress of the everyday and enjoy a quiet moment with nice views. The service was laid back, yet extremely quick and efficient, somehow just right. The soup of the day was carrot soup and it was splendid. The marriage bliss was marvellous as well. They also serve pizzas that we didn't try but looked promising. The swiss moccha was the best of its kind I've had in a while. Deservedly five stars.

A delightful surprise after visiting the President's house. Great sourdough pizzas and delicious pie. The price/quality ratio is very good. The café is warm, nicely decorated and served by a friendly staff. A must if you are in the area

Best coffee house on Iceland!
I found the choklatecake my mom made for me as a kid there (she was from Iceland, but died 2016), i got the recipe but unfortunately list it😥

Honestly the best meal I've had in Iceland. I've been here for a month long trip and have been around the entire island. I got the daily pasta and it absolutely blew my mind. Would highly recommend! Amazing staff as well!

AMAZING!!! I went to àlaftaneskaffi yesterday around eight o’clock and had the best food I had for a long time, not only was the food amazing but the young adults working (a boy and a girl ) were really nice and showed us great service. 10/10 would recommend!

Excellent scenery, quiet area and an amazing Belgium waffle made for a wonderful brunch. The couple running the Cafe were simply the nicest people. Would love to come back sometime.

Best bakery and cafe! Family owned. Everything is delicious and fresh. Whatever you order— coffee, baked goods, pizzas — guaranteed to taste amazing. Recommend their bread, as well.

A good last stop on the way to the airport. They serve good soup and really good bread!

This little gem is a bit off the beaten path. With views of the presidential residence and cosy decor. Here you will also find good old fashioned Icelandic hospitality and kindness to strangers.

Beautiful and charming cafe with freshly made pastries, soup, and pizzas, along with a variety of hot beverages like coffee and tea. Watch horses outside the window while you sip a cappuccino. :)
