Very close to Viking village. Asked a local if it would be safe at night and they said absolutely. And I didn’t feel uncomfortable or unsafe at any point. They even told us this is where the elves live and you can find them in the rocks. How cute! Didn’t find any elves but found a cat as they rubbed up against me. Is that normal? It was so cold and rainy.

One of my favorite spot in capital region, and every single visit of Hafnarfjörður love to have small walk at this lovely park. Especially you should give a visit during Christmas time while the whole park decorated with lights. There is also a cute coffeeshop with small elf houses to sit and enjoy the vibe.

Great, little park! I saw 2 kitties there and if you have time, be sure to stop by the cafe for some delicious food. I recommend the waffles!

A lovely small park that I always like to visit when I'm in Hafnarfjörður. Today, even with slight rain I enjoyed its festive look and I'm definitely going back again to enjoy its special festive lights and atmosphere...in the dark! 👍😊👍😊👍

Magic experiance among ELVES (felt close by!) and LAVA hills, with a well kept path, benches, cats, trees, trolls...
You MUST visit Hafnarfjörður and Hellisgerði. It is well connected with Reykjavik by bus #1!

Very beautiful small park where Elf's life's. Show them respect or something bad will happen to you.

Place where everyone has to see and experience with their loved ones, family or just alone where ideas are born..

Great place to search for huldufólk, meet Icelandic cats, or generally enjoy a spot of nature. The small visitor center was closed when we visited during the week in May.

This enchanting little park is home to Iceland's "hidden people", many birds and a very friendly cat. It was a lovely place to walk around.

What a gorgeous little park! We loved all the nooks and crannies, with something to see around every corner. It's very hilly and full of rocks, many of which are claimed to be homes for elves. It's a very peaceful place and for the time you are there, you will forget you're in the city. Worth a visit.

This is a beautiful park that is easy to miss if you aren't looking for it. Once inside, you may find an elf house hidden within the park. There were children all over playing and hanging out, and then suddenly they all disappeared on bikes, as if whisked away by the elves. If you're up for a little climbing, every inch of this hidden gem is beautiful, and the highest point I found provided some nice views of the harbour.

A great little park with unique trees, lava formations, and reported homes for elves, right in the center of the city.
