Best dinner for a long time. Really good restaurant and I am so happy that I found in here on Google Maps. Service very good and they were very helpful because I wanted something special. Thank you girl for perfect dinner. Here are some photos from this place

Lovely restaurant! We visited this place in January, quiet time without tourists. We was so surprised about this place!
The menu is small but there is a lot of option including vegetarian option as well.
Food was made fresh and very tasty. I loved my salty fish!
The ladies working there are very friendly and super helpful. We have a few questions about the food and they know everything and can help me!
Prices are very good compared this is the only one restaurant in this city.
And dessert! If you like chocolate is perfect. Chocolate muse, chocolate cake and chocolate ice cream (little big problem if you don't like chocolate- they don't have nothing else ;-))
Highly recommended I will definitely come back next time when I will visit Iceland

One of the best meals we had in iceland. Everything was beautifully presented and delicious. The view is out on the ocean. Must stop in this town. The rhubarb cake was amazing. Lobster tempura was also amazing. The lamb is tender and flavorful. And the salmon was a stunner.

Fantastic place! We stopped by for lunch and we're welcomed in a friendly manner. We ordered a la carte and had amazing food. The view over the harbor is also super nice! The interior is very welcoming and modern.
I had the surf n turf salad and my friend the ribs - they are amazing! He loved them so much he went directly into food coma 😅

A must visit restaurant. Best meal in Iceland. We were only passing for a meal on our way to the north of Iceland. The food there was amazing, baby ribs are so tender, together with the tasty sauce on top, the portion is enough for two people to share. The fish of the day is fresh, well cooked with tasty vegetables and mashed potato. The sauce is delicious. A satisfying and surprisingly good meal. The view by the window, the vibe, service from the waitress and manager were fabulous. ❤

A jewel hidden on the ring road if you are coming/going to Akureyri. This restaurant is fantastic, great atmosphere, fantastic food (you can either eat menu or buffet and both options are delicious). Everything is fresh and abundant, prices very competitive and they have children menu. The views are great and you can enjoy the terrace if the weather is nice, even visit the beach if the tide is low. You can't see the town from the main road, only the signs with the seals but it's really close, only 10 min at most to make a stop here and you'll have a better lunch than at the service stations all the way up and down the N1. Don't miss it!. Also, the place is tastefully decorated with many design and artwork that makes it really special

The place looks very nice from inside with a great atmosphere and very friendly staff.

The food choices are great and our order was very delicious (vegan burger, edamame and a fish soup).

Sadly they only had 3 or 4 vegan options, but all in all it was a great experience!

So not sure if this would be the main reason to come to this restaurant but the french fries 🍟 taste like The Golden Arches fries used to taste when I was a kiddo. Our waitress recommended The Rooster and that is a good sandwich. Kinda like a Nashville Hot Chicken and some amazing sauce and combos that are worth a trip to this restaurant. My wife had an amazing fish dish she said was the best fish she has had in Iceland.

Just a great lunch place near the water with great views. The lunch buffet was excellent and very cheap for Icelandic prices. It had some chickend and soup and salad. The service was great and we got information easily about gluten- and lactose-free diets.

Wow delicious food and such a friendly welcome. Burgers tasted delicious and everything was made from local produce. Seafood soup was tasty, served with fresh bread and butter. Highly recommend 👍

I really enjoyed the food here. Definitely worth the detour off of Norðurlandsvegur. The service was a little slow, but the food made up for it. The cod was one of the best fish I had in Iceland. The seafood soup was also nice.

We stopped at this special place on our journey to the north of Iceland. It’s a beautiful restaurant looking right out over the water. There’s a lunch buffet available which looked great but we opted for the seafood soup which was just fantastic with homemade bread and delicious butter. Would definitely recommend!

My parents and I had the best time celebrating my birthday with an incredible fine dining experience. The staff was friendly and absolutely perfected the presentation and flavor of each dish. This restaurant is truly a hidden gem.

Visited in July 2022. We happened to come across this restaurant while staying overnight in Hvammstangi on our drive around the Ring Road. Food and atmosphere was great. I'm sure the view would have been better on a clear day. The restaurant is conveniently located, very big (for such a small town), and right near the Seal Centre.

Stopped by on our trek along the Ring Road and was blown away by the food. The salmon is perhaps the single best meal I've had in as long as I can remember. Good drinks and good soup.

Very good restaurant with a beautiful view. It's not a cheap restaurant, but like everything else in Iceland. We had 2 cod fishes with vegetables, one beer and cake with icecream desert, around €100.

I love this place so much. They have a big open space and a balcony of you want to sit down outside when it's hot and sunny out. My favorite thing about this place is that the waiters are always friendly and the wait isn't that long. I definitely recommend getting the spicy chicken wings, the best chicken wings in history and when I come here i always order it. The burgers are also good and some of them or named after people from this town and which I find very genuis is that the farmers here are asked what they love and the burger and that's put on the menu with their name. Overall this place has never been a bad experience and it's safe to say this is the best restaurant I have ever been in.

I had the lamb and it was unreal, my partner had the fish and chips it was so fluffy and fresh. The experience was very pleasant and polite.

Had my birthday dinner here, best place to celebrate it! Everything is so delicious, best food we’ve had on our trip to Iceland (and we’ve been all over the country).
The staff was so nice and welcoming and the styling of the space is beautiful.
