Given the limited shopping centers on this island it's great to find a Costco, strategic location just on the way while driving out of the airport, good selection, good prices, also you'll find their gaz station and food court.

This is one of my happy places. It has a lots of things that I like from food products, frozen food, meat supplies, things for my home, electronics, lots of candy, beauty products and vitamins, etc. Good prices and you can purchase big quantities. Also the food is nice, good hot dog, burger and pizza. The books section is my absolute favorite, very good cheap books.

Same as England. Some parts were better than England to be fair.
Like most of Iceland, everything is a little on the expensive side.
Don't mistake the blue capped bottles for still water... its sparkling. Thankfully tap water is drinkable so we emptied and refilled at a tap

I really like this place. In 2020 membership costed about 4500kr and you have all year access and perks. I always buy a bunch of fresh fruits and frozen produce in bulk. The sushi here is pretty good and cheap and it can last a single person for 2 days at least. I love to take some greasy cheesy pizza at the exit for just under 500kr. Forgot to mention you can refill the gas here quite cheaply.

Canadian Costco member who visited Iceland in July 2022.

This Costco was a great stop after picking up our rental car at the airport. It is conveniently located, whether you are going to Reykjavik (clockwise) or going to Vik (counterclockwise) around the Ring Road. It was very clean and not busy (Thursday - late morning).

Our Costco membership was valid and we were able to pick up some snacks for our road trip around the country. They had a decent selection of healthier items that did not need to be refrigerated (like protein shakes and instant oatmeal bowls), which was perfect for our trip. We also took a break for a quick hot dog before continuing on our drive.

We had a good visit with no issues with customer service that I have seen in some of the other reviews. There were some great prices on Icelandic goods. Also a few surprises like a tin of UK Quality Street much cheaper than in the UK. Sadly to buy alcohol you need an Iceland wholesaler license.

I had a lot of questions that I found difficult to find before visiting Costco in Iceland. They take all credit cards (unlike Canada/USA) and they have a great cafeteria. The prices are still expensive as everywhere else in Iceland but it is far less busy than Costco visits I’m used to in Canada.

This is a comparison review with the Costco in USA and Bonus in Iceland.

The food is much better here, but instead of churros and hamburgers, they have mango shake and Gelatto (which is a REALLY good version of ice cream basically). But everything is like two times the price than USA's Costco.

The variety of items is also fewer than the one in America and for a good reason. It seems like Costco loves selling pops for some reason. There were two aisles full of pop (picture with it below).

Although more expensive and less stuff, it has a wider variety than Bonus. In my opinion, the prices were very similar, but Costco was slightly cheaper.

Unfortunately they didn't sell water here. It's a good place to stock up on vacation to avoid EXTREMELY pricy restaurants in Iceland.

Best prices on food court food and meat/seafood, bread, vegetables. Conveniently located across IKEA and next to kronan.

Costco just opened in Iceland today, this finally brings competition to what was an absolute monopoly and price fixing on consumer products and food.

The prices are fantastic and for the first time I feel like I'm getting value for what I purchase in Iceland and finally there is a wide range of products.

This is a great addition to Icelands consumer scene and hopefully will continue to pressure the other stores and shops to be competitive with pricing.

Finally great prices here in Iceland! Nice selection. It just opened here so don't be surprised if something is not available or sold out.(12 june 2017) although they were nicely stocked when I had a look. Nice staff. Big store.

Its such a comforting site to see the costco in iceland. With the high cost of everything in the island, costco helps with its lower petrol cost and bulk food items. They have all the familiar kirkland branded items availble here and also a lot of regional and local favorites. The parking lot is large and the store was not too busy when we visited. I know it will be one of favorite stops whenever we visit iceland.

Yes, Iceland has a Costco, amazing. I would say about half, at least, of the products are standard Costco and Kirkland brand and the other half are somewhat unique to Iceland.

Lovely to see the giant of Costco bringing cheaper prices to Iceland! Being from the UK, I was excited to arrive in Iceland for the 2nd time to see that a Costco had cropped up since I last arrived!! A lovely clean store with friendly staff and cheap prices!!

P.S. I think the person ordering the trolleys/carts/whatever you call them went a little overboard...

Big, clean warehouse with very friendly staff and a nice food court. Large selection of goods with expected but not unreasonable markup (compared to united states). Very tasty gelato in waffle cone!

We stayed in Iceland for 5 days. This is the first place we went to fill up our 'food bank's. We bought eggs, fruits, vegetable, frozen Icelandic fish etc. Worth mentioning the packed chicken sandwiches (8 pieces/$23), saved us lots of time and money.

There is a Bonus grocery store beside Costco. We bought some seasoning stuff.

Iceland is quite expensive to travel but it's scenarios worth every penny.

Clean store with great options. For Americans you can get in with your card, they will just need a supervisor when you check out.

Was great to be able to go and pick up our staples for the week we are here in Iceland. Used our Canadian Costco card with no issues!
