Margret Magnus Hair and Makeup artist

Margret is an amazing hair and make up artist, I would recommend Margret to any bride for their wedding day. My husband and I were recently married in Iceland, and travelled from Australia for our wedding. Pink Iceland helped us find Margret and she came highly recommended. I sent Margret some photos of hair and make up styles I liked and she took it from there and made me and my bridesmaids look wonderful. My hair and make up was better than I ever could have hoped and my bridesmaids looked beautiful, the hair and make up lasted the whole day in the stormy Icelandic weather. Margret went above and beyond in her services, due to a potential storm, we had pre-wedding photos taken the day before the wedding, and Margret took the 2 hour journey to South Iceland with less than a few hours notice to ensure I was ready for the photos, and then came back to do it all again the very next day, the morning of the wedding ! We could not be more grateful to Margret for this, and with all of this, she was so calm and kind, put me at ease in an instant and I was able to relax and trusted Margret and the result was outstanding. Thank you Margret, I hope to see you again maybe for our ten year wedding anniversary :)

Margret is amazing :) We went to Iceland for our honeymoon photoshoot and Margret was very professional. She is very good at working with your features to make you the most beautiful version of yourself instead of turning you into someone else, even with my Asian features! She also did the hair up perfectly, the bridal braids that I have been dreaming of! I was very lucky to have found Marget, and would totally recommend her for anyone looking for a pair of able hands (and a big warm heart!) on your special day!

Margret did an amazing job for my hair and makeup for my Iceland vow renewal. It was nerve wracking trying to find a hair and makeup artist out of the country, but from the start Margret was great! She was very responsive and helpful. I sent her a few images of what I wanted, not super heavy makeup and a half up/down hairstyle. She crushed it! Also shockingly it all looked good for over 12 hours, with 6-7 hours of that being out in the Icelandic weather of wind and waterfalls! Highly recommend Margret!

Margret, in my opinion, is the best hair and makeup artist in all of Iceland! I wanted to feel glamorous and beautiful on my wedding day and she not only delivered, she was very kind and funny too! Margret was absolutely wonderful to work with! She arrived right on time and was very professional. I felt that she listened to what I was looking for in terms of makeup and that it came out fantastic - I felt so beautiful for my elopement day! For hair I didn't have any specific ideas and I thought she communicated very clearly her vision and again, it turned out lovely and I absolutely loved the look! We had a very windy day, so having my hair in an up-do and secured - it didn't budge at all throughout the day! Highly recommend her services if you are in Iceland and are in need of a hair or makeup artist. She's the best!

Margret was absolutely amazing to work with for my wedding hair and make-up! We planned a trial run of both the day before which was ideal then on the day of the wedding my hair and make-up turned out better than I could have imagined! She was able to totally understand my vision for both my hair and make-up via emailed images. Also, she was a calming presence as I was getting ready. Highly recommend!

Margrét was wonderful. I am particular about my makeup and thought I’d want to make my own changes but I was BLOWN away when I looked in the mirror. She made me feel so beautiful, it photographed perfectly, and the makeup lasted all day. Most importantly, it was exactly what I asked for. Margrét is extremely talented and flexible.
I was also very impressed with her hair styling. I used clip in extensions and the style lasted all day through wind and snow.

Margret is so talented and amazing to work with! We had to move our wedding a day due to weather and she was able to step in at the last minute. Margret is a very talented hair and make up artist, one of the best in the business. We are wedding photographers in Iceland and have worked with her on numerous occasions in fact she is our number one recommendation when clients ask for a hair and/or make up referral. We are amazed every time we work with her and are sure the make up could last for days compared to how well it lasts through out a whole wedding day often in bad Icelandic weather such as rain, snow wind and hail storms.

Margrét did the hairstyling for my wedding for both me and my mother.
She was professional, skilled and easy to work with. Both our hairstyles were very elegant and lasted for the whole event, in spite of some rain etc.

When I first began planning my Icelandic elopement, I was unsure about whether or not I should hire someone for hair and make-up. I was so worried about not being able to find a reputable person in this far away country. I can honestly say that hiring Margret to do my hair and make-up for my wedding day was the best decision. My hair AND make-up lasted the entire day, which is SO impressive with the weather in Iceland. We trekked through mountains, waterfalls, cliffs, and a beach – not a single one of my curls fell out!! It was truly magical. Not to mention, she is incredibly talented. I shared a few inspiration photos of old Hollywood glam, the look I was going for, and she made me feel gorgeous. Margret was amazing to work with for my October 2019 wedding!! She was extremely professional while also friendly and flexible! I don't know how many times I had to email her to tell her someone's plan for hair and/or make-up had changed, but I was so grateful for her patience during those stressful pre-wedding months! Margrét is great! She did my hair and makeup for my wedding and she did an amazing job. My makeup stayed all day and night even through a good amount of crying. My hair was even better. We went for outdoor photos and it was super windy. My hair looked really good still by the end of the night.

We went to Iceland for our elope photoshoot and we were desperate to find an artist that does hair and makeup both. We were so glad that we found Margret! She discussed the styles and accessories needed for the hair and makeup before we went to Iceland, and we also met the day before for consultation. We also requested the service to have her stay with us during the shoot, and honestly we may have worried about that too much because the hair and makeup stayed all 5 hr and photoshoot in the wind. Overall, I recommend her to anyone that want a peace of mind in their wedding day or any photoshoot.
