Iceland Guided Tours

We had the BEST experience with IGT on two separate tours, a Dynjandi Waterfall tour from Isafjordur (with Andre) and a Lake Myvatn tour from Akureyri (with Snorri). Our tour guides were waiting for us when we disembarked from our cruise ship and during the trips they were extremely informative and even added in extra stops because time allowed. We had booked one tour through the cruise line, and obviously a completely different tour company, and was disastrous. In comparison, IGT's experience was very apparent. They provided tours which were an excellent value and I would not hesitate to recommend IGT. We loved the smaller group sizes, compared to those that the cruise lines offer. Thank-you IGT and Andre & Snorri!! We loved Iceland, and you made our experience memorable!

Very customer oriented and competent provider for daily trips on Iceland. We joined two trips (Golden Circle and Akureyri), both of them were excellent organized!! Because of COVID we had to postpone our journey, the reaction to this fact by IGT was most flexible and fair. So of course we spend 5 stars and would immediately rebook by a futural revisitation of Iceland. Well done!!

My group of six from Canada and the NW USA enjoyed 4 private tours with IG Tours. Tours were Lake Byvattn and Godafoss from Ukereyri, and Golden Circle, South Coast and Reykjanes Peninsula from Reykjavic. All were unanimously rated 5-star for punctuality, comfort and cleanliness, friendly and knowledgeable guides (thanks Snorri, Ian and Dooley), cost and excellent itineraries. We suggest IG provide water to guests in future, but the flexibility and comfort offered on these 4 private tours rated a 5-star rating. We highly recommend Trygvvi and his IG Tours to all.

Very experienced, knowledgeable and well priced. We were a varied group (ranging from 4yr old to 74yr old) and both tour guides were able to adapt and meet each and everyone's needs. I highly recommend them

We had an excellent tour (July,2019) - South Coast Tour from Reykjavik for Cruise Ship

We booked their shore excursion in Grundarfjörður 2 months before our cruises with tickets received. 5 days before the arrival to the port, we send an email to them enquiring the meeting time. They replied us they have to cancel the tour as noone on the cruise ship is joining the tour. Although they offered refund, there is no available excursions for us to join at the port as every tours have been fully booked. Feel so disappointed on the way they handle our booking. Be very careful when joining their tours as they won't actively update their customers whether the tour booked is confirmed or not.

Beware! They do not uphold their refund policy for cruise excursions when your ship doesn't make it in to port due to bad weather. Had an excursion booked for May and have been trying to get refunded ever since. Have even gone to my credit card company and somehow Tryggvi Sveinbjörnsson with the tour company has said services were rendered when they were NOT! I am still fighting! But buyer BEWARE OF SCAM PRACTICES!!! This was a tour out of Isafjordur to the waterfall dealing with the abovementionwed tour operator!
