An ancient building which has been turned to a mosque. Inside everything looks very simple but the spirit of the building makes you feel it's a mysterious place. Although there is eye-catching stucco around the altar which will remain in your mind forever. And a high wooden chair for the clergymen to sit and give speeches which is beautifully carved. Some signs of Mithraism in the basement can be found.

Amazing mosque. The fresco work is outstanding and the traces of developments from ancient fire temple or palace to the more recent history can be observed.
The pomegranates were nearby when we went. Don't miss the water reservoir next to the mosque.

Great Architecture in a city that is well known for its carpets. Naein is an important transit point at the geographical center of Iran. In the town look for the tenth-century Jameh Mosque. A mosque with no iwan and a remarkable fine mihrab with simple but innovative use of stucco decoration which is notably well preserved.
Take your time and enjoy your visit.

This 2nd century mosque was incredible from the point of view that it was constructed from brick and plaster. Many of the surrounding buildings were made from mud bricks and straw, which is also classic for the region. The mosque had one minaret, which some people say denotes it as a Sunni place for worship; however, our guide said that it was just the style of the time and that any Muslim could pray there. A wander around the surrounding streets proved interesting as well as there is a ruined castle, some beautiful wind towers and water reservoirs, and a museum/aristocratic house nearby.

The Friday Mosque of Nain is a great place for architecture lovers. Its hall is very impressive. The mihrab, the columns are covered with ornaments. Also, don't forget to enter the hall that is right under the massive mosque. I remember it was very cold downstairs. To go there, turn right when you enter the mosque.

It was Constructed between the 10th and 11th centuries, it was one of the first mosques built in Iran. The exterior facade and minaret are austerely beautiful and many parts of the interior (including the mihrab) are decorated with finely detailed stucco work.
an underground prayer hall, designed to keep the faithful cool in summer and warm in winter.

This mosque is very old, with the miihrab incorporating lotus flower plasterwork which is a hangover from pre-Islam imagery (as seen in Perspolis) and it has pre-schism features too. The desert sun dried bricks are an amazing colour. The basement is magical specially if you visit it in noon time to see how beautifully illuminated by the sunlight crosses through the alabasters. The brick working in the yard is astonishing. This is a different mosque compare to the other ones in Iran.

Ancient mosque - incorporates the older Zorastrian place of worship within its boundaries - shows a level of tolerance - the new orthodoxy was broadminded from the outset
