Jashak Salt Dome

It was a wonderful place to visit full of salty colorful hills, a mysterious cave and a tiny waterfall which was white because it was made of salty water. You need to wear hiking shoes and put your extra bags behind as you need your hands to stay balanced. It has a parking lot so you can put your stuff in the car. Sun cream and cap is also needed. Try not to visit the area in hot seasons. As the area is environmentally protected you must pledge your Id card before entering the spot. It has dirt roads to reach.

This is one of the best geotourism destinations in iran and the largest salt dome in the Middle East. This valuable natural heritage has the sights that you may not see like them anywhere else. That's why it is on the list whenever I go to Bushehr. As it is an active dome, you will see a different view from your last seen.

This fabulous nature is just 90 km far from Anarestan and though we've heard about it we didn't expect such a beauty.
Some part of the road toward the mountain is dirt road but for sure after that you will be impressed by what you visit.

When you look from afar, it looks like there is a snowy mountain in the summers of southern #Iran with a temperature of 45 degrees Celsius! But as you get closer you see a mountain of salt in front of you. #colorful salts, and mostly edible! 🧂

Millions of years of water erosion have transformed the salt dome into what it is today: The #mountain that is alive! After each rain, many parts of the salt are still washed away and deposited elsewhere. So local guides also enjoy taking tourists to it every time! 😁

It is not possible to visit this national natural heritage of Iran without a licensed guide. I visited the dome with the dear energetic and friendly guide @Ahmad.Moghdani . Mohsen Bahadori ( @boomgardi_jashak ) is also one of the most well-known local guides who also has a ecolodge near the dome which is an ideal option for relaxing before and after visiting the complex. 🏘

Dont smoke before visiting the Salt Mountain as it will be like a light mountaineering. The more physical ability you have, the more you enjoy watching these #nofilter sceneries. 🌄

Climbing and hiking in this place is so fascinating.
Try that with tour leader and it will be better and easier to find the cave.
You can get tour leader at the first of the road.

This is really fantastic. a must see in Bushehr province. I have been there many times and i would like to go back again. don't miss it. easy bus connection from shiraz and bandar abbas. don't hesitate. don't forget your camera , water, cap, sun screen, sun glasses ,...

Beautiful and breathtaking scene , great salt mountain Full of weird things ,There are several caves down the mountain
And if you get lucky and it's raining, you'll see white streams and beautiful waterfalls.
If you have a local guide you may have a better chance of seeing the beauty

Salt paradise in south of Iran. i went there during December 2018 which was really nice. with the help of Mohammad. I Stayed few nights over his family and it was one of my best experiences in south of Iran. highly recommended. don't miss this unknown pearl if you are in south or in Shiraz. i took a bus to Jam and Mohamed came to pick me up.

after a long time i could manage to go there. thx to Mohammed the guide, tour and accommodation organizer. it was all adventure. hiking , taking thousand pictures and ... . there are a lot of salt caves, water falls, stalactites, stalagmites , different salt formations, and canyons. it's a must see in south of Iran. just the best time to visit there is during spring and winter. also you can ask Mohammed to show you Heisenberg valley. because that is also very nice.

Oh my God. This is the most beautiful mountain I've ever seen in my life . Thanks to *saltytour* , I had an amazing experience there. Before it was hard to get there as I tried some years ago . But now it's really easy with the help of Mohammed.
The best is to go there with a good camera or drone . I think this was the highest adventure I had in iran. Get your bus from shiraz to jam and message Mohamed. Don't think about anything else. Not only this but also a lot of other adventures are waiting for you in *Anarestan*.

Just coming back from a day trip to Salt mountain .Leaving from Anarestan village,where there is a wonderful homestay in Mohhammed house.
Five hours walking around a very big salt dome(the biggest in Middle East)
You feel like walking in the moon,incredible rock and salt formations, salt caves to be cross,salt rivers and salt cascades .A complete paradise for photographers and for any people who lives nature .As beatiful as Kaluts in kerman área..
After Hormuz island ,I thought nothing .could be compare with it in terms of sublime geólog , but this salt mountain is even more espectacular because of its size and morfology.
Easy access from Bandar Abbas or Busher ,also from Ahvaz .
Fantástic stay in a local house in Anarestan village.Traditional food and music and very welcome family .
Mohhamed organized many activities for us in the área.One of the best is to search the sky every night with his profesional telescope .A must if you like nature and you are travelling in south Iran

Jashak salt dome is a large area in the on the Southern slope of Zagros Mountains, in Bushehr province. It is one of the largest and most beautiful salt domes Iran the Middle East and the natural attraction of Bushehr province.

Salt Dome of "Jashak" is wonderful place geomorphologically must seen before you leave the Bushehr province.
