دانشگاه شمال بزرگترین دانشگاه غیرانتفاعی کشور محسوب می شه و از نظر امکانات و زیبایی اونو زیباترین دانشگاه خاورمیانه می دونن.
دانشگاه شمال در 5 کیلومتری جنوب آمل و در ابتدای جاده هراز قرار داره.

About Amol
City in Iran

Amol is a city in the Central District of Amol County, Mazandaran province, Iran, serving as capital of both the county and the district. Amol is located on the Haraz river bank. It is less than 20 kilometres south of the Caspian sea and less than 10 kilometres north of the Alborz mountains. It is 180 kilometres from Tehran, and lies 60 kilometres west of the provincial capital, Sari. It is one of the oldest cities in Iran, and a historic city, with its foundation dating back to the Amard. In the written history, Amol, in the Shahnameh, has been one of the important centers of events. source
