Aghazadeh Historical House

The Aghazadeh Historical House is an historical house that has been turned into a hotel. It is probably one of the most beautiful hotels I stayed in during my trip in Iran. The hotel has very nice rooms with comfortable beds and a good bath room. The inner courts are lovely. When the evening falls and the artificial lighting is lit, you have the impression to be in a story of 1001 nights. It is also possible to have dinner in one of the big outside halls. The Aghazadeh Historical House has beautiful wind towers that are nicely illuminated during the night. From the roof you will have a splendid view on the wind towers during the evening or night.

This house was built in Qajar era about 200 years ago in Abarkooh city about 150 kilometers far from Yazd city.You can see the facade of this house which is portrayted on the 20,000 rial bills.
There is a very nice windcatcher and its better to say a two story windcatcher in this building with 18 meters hight.
I suggest you to visit the roof of the house and this windcatcher.

This place is a 10/10. The hotel rooms are clean and tidy and have a lot of room. U usually have a room with a really pretty view. You can go ont he rooftop and look at the whole house, breathtaking! The food quality is good, so are the prices. The reception and staff are kind and willing to help at any time. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to visit abarkuh

The best Hotel we visited in Iran. The hotel rooms are fleshly renovated (Okt. 2017) with the spirit von ancient times and a luxery standard of today. The rooms are clean and nicely decorated with modern bath rooms.
The staff is lovely especialy the english-speaking girl

Even the dinner was delicous and homemade with a beautiful view over the garden.

I love it. I adore it! It's the best among the traditional houses in Yazd region. Its windcatcher has two stores! Isn't it wonderful!? Just stand under it and feel the wind touching your body. It's a great feeling!
Close to the windcatcher there is a small dome called Kolah-e Farangi, meaning "European hat". If you go up, you can step on the roof of the other neighboring houses.
P.S. You can find this tower on two thousand tumans banknote.

The best hotel we have visited in Iran and an amazing place with lovely hotel staff as well. Definetly worth spending a night and unfortunately not mentioned in Lonely Planet so far.
