The staff were extremely polite and friendly, making for a great customer experience. I also appreciate that the shop opens early in the morning, making it convenient for early birds like myself. If you are from the Coastal part of Karnataka, then this is the place for your daily needs. They have variety of food items to choose from. All packed and most of them ready to eat. They do sell vegetables and other groceries that come from the coastline.

You have surely heard of New Udupi Stores if you are CSB/GSB in/around Malleswaram.
It is the largest shop I have seen in it's category. Under one roof you can get all the Mangalore specialities you want. From the vegetables & fruits to grains and spices. Including snacks, from bajjis & holiges to chips, chiwda, etc.
It is a huge time-saver to buy all of our special needs from one shop, and I simply love it. Moreover, the prices are low too.
It is open every day. There is always some responsible person at the phone who can answer all our availability/expected questions.
Any cons? They don't deliver to home (as of now) so you have to manage that. And they want cash ( really !)
But those are minor issues we soon get used to, in view of the major convenience, quality, and cost advantages.

Comming from Hyderabad, I have visited this shop at least three times in my two visits so far. It is so far the best store for Manglorian local goods. The service is also very personalised. I am entirely satisfied and will surly visit this place every time I come to this city.
