Taste of Nellanadu

Recently visited with my family and had a wonderful experience! The seafood dishes were delicious, and the traditional atmosphere added to the charm. Their mini party hall is great for small gatherings like birthdays. Definitely recommend for a tasty meal and cozy ambiance!

Literally I love their food, seating arrangements, and the service too. Calm plc, have a lot of parking space too and also all the food items they serve are so delicious

Commendable job done by the chef and his team in the kitchen and Vijesh and his team took care of us with patience and a heart warming smile.

The food quality was really good. Meals had a taste of homely feel to it. All the mural paintings gives a good vibe to the restaurant.

Lunch at Nellanadu was a very tasty and pleasant experience. I loved the fish items that were served - fry, pollichath etc... A surprise mutton roast was also served. Wow the mutton was a class apart. The ambience is created with wall art representing local talent in the movie industry. Outside the restaurant a nostalgic scene gives you memories of an old village library, and a public radio. A nice photo opportunity there. Congratulations to team Nellanadu for creating an excellent experience for the visitors.

As someone who frequently travels this route, I've often been disappointed by the lack of good restaurants that serve authentic Kerala-style cuisine. However, this restaurant unlocked a new favorite for me.

My wife and I were warmly welcomed by the friendly staff and upon entering immediately hit by the enticing aroma of naadan seafood. We opted for Kerala meals with crispy and flavorful Karimeen tawa fry and Chempally pollichathu packed with flavor. I must say, the taste was simply outstanding and exceeded our expectations.

But what really impressed us was to find out that they had Fish Nirvana on the menu. We had no second thoughts about ordering it, and it proved to be as good as Chef Pillai's famous creation, if not better.

The pricing was very reasonable, and the ambiance of the restaurant was the icing on the cake. The entrance had a vintage touch, complete with old Kerala rustic charms, such as the old school Granthashala, aesthetically recreated, looked straight out of a period drama movie set. Even the chai thattu, vintage props like clocks and transistors, and paintings on the walls that tell the story of locale folklore make it a special place. Definitely a great Instagrammable setting and there was plenty of car parking space.

All in all, I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an authentic Kerala-style dining experience. It's definitely one of my new favorites, and my wife and I are already planning our next visit.

I recently visited Taste of Nellanad and I must say I was impressed. We were a group of 11 and we ordered traditional Kerala meals, ghee rice, chicken biriyani and also some fish items such as Neymeen fry, meen pollichathu (Chemballi), Neymeen Nirvana, and Ayala curry. The taste and quality of the food here is very good.

The ambience of the hotel is worth mentioning. The walls are decorated with paintings of famous people from Nellanad. There are scenic paintings all around and plenty of photo shoot options. Overall, I would highly recommend Taste of Nellanad. The restaurant offers an excellent dining experience in a beautiful and cultural setting. I would definitely visit again!

Highly recommend trying their Fish Fry dish, it is a must-try! Along with the mouthwatering Kerala fish curry meal and refreshing Sulaimani Chai, the Fish Fry was a standout dish that was perfectly crispy and full of flavor. The restaurant's ambience was also great, with ample parking and interesting wall art depicting the history of Venjaramoodu.

Taste of Nellanad Restaurant truly stands out for its excellent seafood and remarkable hospitality. The menu showcases an impressive variety of fresh, perfectly seasoned dishes that delight the palate. What made our experience unforgettable was our waiter, Syamji. His warmth, attentiveness, and personalized recommendations made us feel incredibly welcome, as if we were dining in a home away from home. Highly recommended for anyone looking for top-notch seafood and a memorable dining experience.

Spacious seating arrangements, upstairs and downstairs. Ample car parking area too.
Just on Venjaramoodu junction, not too difficult to find. The interior theme/drawing is too good which speaks the story of Nellanadu Panchayat.
Now, coming on to food, we had ordered 2 chicken Dum Biriyani, Chicken fry and lime soda. The Dum Biriyani was cooked to perfection, the fry was crispy and good.
The dishes are priced moderate. Do visit and taste other dishes too. I highly recommend the place, the staff was courteous too.

One of the best restaurants in the area.Good ambience and Service. Went there for lunch-Fish Curry Meals - The price was around 100. Taste was good.

Giving 5 star for the work they have done for the ambience.Hated the mocktails tho-It came off heavily infused with sugar and mixer juices.

Awesome ambience...signature dishes like nirvana, tawa fry and fish pollichathu will truly titilate our taste buds...leaves you wanting more and craving to come again and again.

Super lunch, enjoyed sadya with chempally pollichath. All the dishes were good even lemon pickle and chammanthi were fantastic. Highly recommend Taste of Nellanad. Service, parking and ambience were also exceptional. Very much satisfied.

It's a wonderful place to have food and also to enjoy with the very fantastic ambience that they had done . They also have a wide variety of foods specially my personal favourite is their paal Kappa and thala curry ❤‍🔥💯💯💯🥰👍

While going to relative house in Vamanapuram from Tvm, It was around mid noon when we approached Venjarammoodu.
After searching a while we came to Nellanadu Restaurant with family.
We ordered a mix of meals and biriyani.
It was delicious and tasty.
The fish items especially Neimeen fry, Chempalli Polichathu and Fish Nirvana were superb.
The chicken biriyani i ordered was a mix of right spiciness and tasty. We loved our lunch and left with stomach full of happiness.

Highly suggest for Tvm foodies to try this restaurant during weekend and those who are going for long travel via MC road
can also try here without fail.
