Entry tickets for all the persons and vehicles should be obtained here. The place is neatly maintained. Kindly carry cash. The road to Valparai has 40 hairpin bends, a scenic route, and small falls along the way. Fill the fuel tanks, only one fuel station is available in Valparai town. Check post will be closed from 6PM to 7AM. Please plan your travel accordingly

Friendly staff and it cost 30₹/per person and 50 ₹ for car entry into the reserve forest.

Anaimalai tiger reserve is one of the big tiger reserve for tigers 🐅. It’s a dense and green forest of one of the world’s largest biological hotspot, WESTERN GHATS. This check post is an entry for that forest and ghat region. Forest department collects Green tax charges for vehicles where they have different price slabs for different vehicles. And they collect individual ticket for each person for entry into that PRECIOUS zone. Prices are reasonable and worthy too as forest department maintain and preserve this Beautiful and precious zone. The entry is chargeable for the vehicle and the person. There is no further charges after that. Road is sufficiently wide but not much, so prepare to be very alert.
The best place to visit in Valparai is nalamudi view point. The entire mountain is tea estate.

While we drive from aliyar to valparai, we can see many animals like monkey, hill goat ( varai aadu ) elephants, bison, many birds.

One of the damn best drive past the check post. Must visit place to enjoy a day in the wild jungle. Majorly seen deers, bisons, peacocks and elephants.
Plan ahead, reach the Sethumadai check post before 7am as only limited vehicles are allowed uphill. It would takes solid 2 hrs to get back from the Safari truck spot. Once you're back you can head up to the canteen for breakfast. Later you can drive up to Parambikulam Tiger reserve. Make sure you are ahead to visit.

Entry to valparai the seventh heaven..no words to describe the sheer rawness and wilderness please respect and protect this forest. Listen to instructions. Dont come here to party..this is real jungle with animals.

Many wild animals over here. If you have any possibility to come here please choose summer season. At this time many wild animals are rolling over the roads. We can see giant squirrel, various dears, elephant, various types of monkeys, rabbit, peacock, many types of birds, forest pig. And by luck can see cheetah and tiger

The first check point you'll come across while going to vallpari. Just stop by and enjoy the nature with a cup of coffee. It's such a beautiful place!

The officers were very friendly. We were the first one to reach there early in the morning. The entry ticket will be only given out at exactly 7:00 AM. The atmosphere is calm.

The entry was charges 260 for 7 people along with car and bike and the ride was beautiful.

Open from 7 AM to 5 PM.
So early morning if you were there also the ghat section travel is allowed only after 7 AM.
