Chakki Modh is a Birding Hotspot about 45 min drive from Chandigarh on the Chandigarh - Shimla highway. About 75 species of birds can be spotted in and around Chakki modh and along the road leading from Chakki Modh to Bhojnagar, a stretch of about 15 Km.

When u go from chandigarh to kasauli, Chakki modh comes at a distance of not more than 25kms. It is a turn to a good enough water flow. We visited here for picnic. It was awesome. One should be active enough to move upwards through the waterflow to have a beautiful view of the nature.

Chakki Mod is turning out to be a nice birding spot. About 175 species have been reporting the region..

Good location with excellent view, good taste of paratha

Breathtaking view. As the sun dipped below the horizon, the fleeting colors of dusk began to fade away. Sunset is a delight to watch. The sun fell asleep, shielded behind the sloping mountains, each smaller but tougher than the one before. The trees were strong, black soldiers, standing in an unmoving row.

Not much space for parking. You got to park roadside only. There aren't many shops around. One can spend about 20 -30 min and enjoy the surroundings.
