Kayaloram Restaurant & Boating

Wonderful place to have seafood meals. Coats around 175 for a single meal, but for me it is worth it. Meals had usual curries like parippu, pulissery, pachadi etc. The additional things include, fish fry, shrimp curry, kappa which we liked a lot, kakka thoran.
One thing which we did not like was fish fry, may be coz they used some lake fish. Other than that, everything was yummy. Got kappa and kakka thoran for 2nd time too.
Bought additional prawns fry and karimeen fry. Prawns was good, not a big fan of karimeen usually.
Service was very good.
Located on the side of Akathumuri Lake.

Best visited for authentic Kerala meals with best view of the backwaters and the golden island.

Weather is hot hot hot 😥 but they don’t sell cold drinks.

One of the best meals I have ever had.. served with fish curry, fish fry and fish thoran.. the fish are freshly caught from the nearby late. 150rs for full meals here. The boating rate is comparitively cheaper here.. the scenery in here is beautiful.. you would enjoy every second of the boating in here..

This is a wonderful place if you are looking forward to have a satisfying kerala style meals. We went here around 1.45 pm and the place was crowded, waited few minutes and got a space. We ordered there meals which cost around 175, and tasted like heavenly to me. We also ordered prawns Fry which was not up to the mark and karemeen Fry which was really good.
This place is a bit crowded hence they lack service efficiency but I feel it's still worth waiting. In the 175 rs meals, the fish fry and the kakka thoran was really superb. Fish fry size was medium.
This place do take cash via upi.

I have been to Varkala few times but never seen this hotel. One of my friend took me to this hidden hotel and im glad that he did. Place is amazing.. Awesome location.. Food is too good to be true. INR 150/- for a combo including Prawns, Fish fry, Clams etc.. Friendly people serving homely food. Highly recommended !! A must visit .. Cheers !

6 kms from varkala... On the coastal way to varkala from veli, exactly between anchuthengu and varkala .Fresh water fish food meals available with unlimited shrimb,clambs curry ,Kappa,avial etc with
Rs 175/- only.Karimeen fry,shrimb fry are available at extra cost.Restaurant is on the banks of a river.It's view is unparalleled.Boating is available at Rs600 for half an hour.There is a small island which is known as Golden Island ,situated exactly opposite to this restaurant. A temple is there on that island .In Mornings and evenings, there will be free boat service to golden island for workship.

For meals it is 175RS, which includes a fish fry, Kakka Irachi thoran, and theeyal curry.
For prawns, it was 300 but still a reasonable price.

This place serves the best Kerala thali in Varkala. Sitting along the side of back waters makes it even more beautiful experience.

A restaurant where you can enjoy both the food as well as the view. The view of the kappil lake with a warm tasty meal with variety of fishes and oyster just mouth watering. Just visit if you are on a tour to tvm. View of the islands and houseboats with fishermans fishing in the lake. Must visit 😊😇

The food was good, fresh fishes and all, nice ambience. Its better to go there after 5:00PM so that the sunbeam will be less and the temperature will also reduce and you can see a beautiful sunset too. The staff are also cooperative. And you can eat outdoors too beside the backwater.

Decent meals with good ambience and also in reasonable rates , Karimeen fish fry was very tasty , highly recommended for homely meals lovers ..🙂

Awesome meals with fish or prawns depends on availability.
It's always better to call and confirm before going there as it is a small restaurant. Backwater view from that restaurant is amazing.
