This place is worth going if you want a quick break or a short vacation. Especially the resort was quite good and while staying there you cal also hear hyenas howling!!! And safari is of 2 to 3 hrs scheduled at early morning and at evening. With all of that it's a beautiful place!

It's a wildlife sanctuary. Mostly this place is well known as Hindi's tigers corridors throughout the hilly mountain. There're also some bison, birds, horses, etc. Far away from New Delhi. It took 2 days by the railways across India

Loved the place. Easily accessible from bilaspur, you can reach their in 1 hr.
Jungle safari is must to visit there, you can see cheetal, sambhar, barking dear, bison, flying squirrel easily. Best time is to reach 5 am in summer and 6 am in winter to get in first jipsy.
Facing Tiger is on your luck and chance will increase in winter

The Achanakmar wildlife santuary is situated in the Mungeli district. It has been established in 1975 ,and declared as tiger reserve in 2009 around 50 km area the santuary is spread. If you want to go inside the jungle they provide you a guide and a gypsy at the month of 1 november to 15 th of june ,else remaining months you are only allowed to pass through the road .

I love this place. The Achankmar sanctuary has some breathtaking views and it's one of the best wildlife sanctuaries in India. Commonly seen animals here are like.. Bison, Deer, Hyna, Bear, Rabbits, Peacock, Fox, etc. In case you have a great luck you can encounter Tiger & if you are the most luckiest guy in the world you can witness a Black Panther too!

We saw bison, deer and langurs.
Tigers are rare in the 4 hour ride but the ranger said they saw many times.
Giant squirrels and peacock were just a bit visible but hidden by the grass and shrubs.

Roads are not smooth but who cares when you have Woods around. Network issues which is good for isolation. Must visit
