Mohan's Mud Houses

Wonderful experience, I stayed there in total of 1+ months till now. I stayed at different hotels in Almora near Kasar Devi , different locations in Kumaon region but every time I came back here.
Wonderful staff ( Kisan and other staff) , Owner Mohan and Puran great hospitality and helpful.
Food - Best Pizza , honestly better than commercial brands, with best coffee.
Location- great

It has been more than two years , but the memories of my stay still lives within me.

The calm serenity of the place with it's being at the stone's throw distance of Kasardevi Temple and the majestic calmness it emanates, has had some starting point and the owner has cut no corners here.
The mud houses, although not a great idea to live in in Summer, are a great feel to live in. The prompt service with a diverse array of delectable delicacies just an order away makes the experience even better.

A home away from home for me :) Everything about this place feels like comfort.. from the warm and hospitable staff to the kindest owners there can be. The rooms are comfortable, clean and spacious and the morning views are just breathtaking, there's enough sunlight and animal friends that keep visiting. A must- stay place for anyone that's looking to stay in the mountains long term, I've been here for over a year now and am happy to call this my second home. Thank you Mohan ji and Jyoti didi and everyone here for everything! Beyond grateful to have found this place.

I am sharing my wonderful experience with Mohan mud house, i have spent good quality time with my family and i am in love with this place , the place is awesome and well isolated. The scenic view around the property and can see the Himalayan from the property, well furnished and staff is also very professional.

Mohan’s Mud Houses are approximately 10 km from Almora in Uttarakhand. Mud houses are situated in a serene place. I loved the place very much as I wanted to spend a holiday in a quiet place and it is. Mr Mohan is a very nice person. I liked the hospitality and the arrangements done by him. We were among the few first visitors who visited the property after hotels and resorts got permission to open after lockdown. Restaurant was closed and he served us from his home kitchen. Food was awesome. Though there is a kitchen in the mud house too. One can cook their own food also. Room was neat and clean. There is a big open space in front of the room to sit. We enjoyed sitting there and admire the Great Himalayas The view was awesome. There was not AC in the Mud House as the walls are of mud. The room was cool. There were basic utensils in the kitchen. Induction cook top was available for cooking. We prepared two meals also. I liked the muddy walls, lighting was nice. Refrigerator is required in the room to keep the drinks.
We loved the home style chicken curry a lot. We ordered the same for next day dinner again. Thanks Mohan ji for your hospitality. Thanks Puran and Deepak for serving us. Both are nice guys.
We would be visiting the property soon 😊 AGAIN as we liked it very much.

Having stayed in this property for 3 nights, I can surely tell you that the experience was rich in class and comfort. The mudhouses are constructed in such a manner that it feels like you are away from the hustle bustle of the town yet very connected to it because of the accessibility through the main road. There's ample of space right outside the mudhouse where you can chill during the day and soak up some sunshine. They even set up bonfire at night ( on special request). The owner, Mohan ji, is an extremely hospitable guy who makes sure that you are having a great time at his property. Krishna, the manager, is literally just a call away for any help that you may need. Also, not to forget, the food at their cafe is something that you shouldn't miss :) Hope this helps you in picking the right accomodation in Kasardevi.

IN HEAVENLY BINSAR

I am covered by the blue skies
And surrounded by the blue mountains
And the trees sway with the winds
Flowers of immense beauty
Crop up everywhere
With colourful butterflies fluttering around
Isn't this heaven ?
And I recline on my bed
Gazing at the beauty out of my window
Birds chirp all around
Then the sound of silence
Gives peace to the ears
I sip tea and hear romantic songs
Adding beauty to nature
I have been transported to heaven
And know what Heaven feels like
I am in bliss
The kindness of nature has made me forget all my delusions
And I know this is the get away place to be in
When life puts you in a quandary
I needed this
Because the badgering city life
got on my nerves
And now I am in the heaven of Binsar
To get peace
And be my poetic self
And be happy with a smile to keep.

This place is amazing. Such calmness and peaceful place it is. They have done such amazing exteriors specially their restaurant area is magical. Also, their mud house area is amazing. Would surely visit again.

Amazing place near kasar devi temple , mr mohan the owner and his staff are staff Krishna / Dipesh are such warm wonderful people … the food is excellent and the mud houses are a great place for solo / couple travellers … Mohan being a avid traveler himself has an eye for detail … the lovely kitchenette with the fridge adds to the touch
The mud house was a great experience
Can’t wait to revisit it again in winters

Awesome is all how can describe this place.
Good value for money.
Mohan is the owner and is extremely hospitable.
