Omkareshwar jyotirlinga is located near narmada river. If you want to visit temple then make sure to visit in early morning hours. As the time passes devotees line will increase and one will have to wait for 4-5 hours in line for darshan. Boating ride is must to enjoy the surrounding views. One can bath in river ghats but needs to be careful as water level is always high here. Mamleshwar temple is easy to get there and had the blessings. Atmosphere of this temple is so relaxing, peaceful and full of Spirituality.
And there is Mamleshwar temple also which is situated on the other side of the river. It takes hardly 15-20 minutes to go there form omkareshwar temple.

One of the 12 jyotirlingas, situated at narmada river. Go early in the morning, darshan will be done quickly. We went to darshan at 4:50 am, no rush - darshan was done within minutes. Also visit the Mamaleshwar temple which is located opposite to the omkareshwar on the other side of river.

One of the 12 jyotirlings, this temple situated on the bank of river Naramada, this place looks very beautiful when you reach the bridge the scene is amazing below bridge river is flowing and on looking above you’ll see sky with clouds

You have to wait in a long queue to enter the temple that time it feels lack of management in the temple, the queue path is not proper and the place is overcrowded that need to changed and do a proper crowd management.

A must visit as it is one of the 12 jyoyirlingas where Shivji gave his Darshan to devotees... the aura of the mandir is so pure and peaceful....
Abhishek has been stopped and garbgriha entry is also stopped but the prangan gives vibes of purity and peace.

Mamaleshwar temple which is also considered as part of this gives a feeling of completion....

The hotels have tie ups with the pandits and they do a good deed. You should fix the rate with them.....it becomes all inclusive for the Darshan, puja, samagri. Our experience was that they were not fleecing.... they give you options... you decide your spend and stick to it....they will not question you....( though they try to convince you to spend more) ....

The parikrama by boat is an experience in itself.... you have to be smart with boat people.... they have their own rates but there is a fixed price there....
We went with the passenger rate ....they try to convince you to book the whole boat....

Our co passengers helped us Explore the island a little more and we also got Darshan from Rinnmukteshwar Mahadev....

The dip in the sangam is optional...
But a worth experience especially if you are going in the morning...

Jai ho omkareshwarji ki

Famous Jyotirling in Mandhata island. Other half is in south bank of Narmada at Mamleshwar. Tremendous crowd with long queues- hours to take for Darshan. Morning 5:00 to 6:00 am is ideal. Monday rush and Shravan month’s rush are insane.
Entry from old bridge as well as Jhula bridge.
₹10.00 flower, Bilya Patra offering.
Cannot offer water or flowers directly over idol. Approach road is for pedestrians, wheelchair and at the best scooters only.

The Temple is good but crowd management is poor. Security does not care for public issues. Took around 3 hours for darshan. Visited again early next morning at 5AM and had good and fast darshan. Also completed the 8 KM parikrama of the Omkareshwar. Visited the Sangam point, Narmada temple, Rin Mukteshwar, Hanuman temple on the parikrama marg. New attraction of Adi Shankaracharya is also being developed on the way. The statue of Adi Shankaracharya is also seen from the Omkareshwar temple and Mamleshwar temple.

One of 12 jyotirlinga.
Temple management system is the main problem for general public , VIP entry is the main problem.
The general public can wait for 4-5 hours in long line and VIP get the entry in within minutes.
Public faced health issues and not only young , senior citizens are also get hurt in line and at the last pujari and Omkareshwar guard can't even wait people to seen the jyotirlinga and Mahadev Murti they use force , pushing the general people and move out from temple .

Omkareshwar Temple trust need to get more attention on line management and stop on VIP entry.
Omkareshwar Temple is the one of oldest temple in India ,
so the people all around from India is used to get once chance in life to visit and pray in temple .
And other visiting places in Omkareshwar is good as gold .

It's popular pilgrimage center , good location on the bank of Holy narmada river , on weekend or holiday's its heavily crowded so to avoid crowds visit before sunrise , very early morning , otherwise have to wait long in a que or pay heavily to priest for vip visit ..... but if you don't want to pay and wait in the que then there is 3D virtual reality darshan available in rs 150/- which is the the best options...
