Dr M Shanmugam Clinic

My grandmother 80 years old and she is suffering from breathing difficulty past 25 years and we take her to many hospitals but we don't get good response and again she suffer very bad. And one day we taken her to Dr M Shanmugam clinic and dr examine my grandmother and prescribed some medicine to take and now my grandmother feels better and healthy. Now my grandmother doesn't had any problems and taking regular medication prescribed by doctor. And really the staff was very kind and friendly. Giving more priority to sick people and her response was very kind and caring to the patient's. The way of care is very good.

My close friend suggested Dr.Shanmugam for respiratory related deseases. I took my aunty who was suffering from cough, chest pain and breathlessness to that clinic. Basic investigation was done and Dr gave treatement which relieved my aunty's difficulties and she is comfortable now. Staffs maintaining the clinic neetly. It takes time to meet the dr becasue many patients are waiting and obvisouly we have to wait for our turn.

If you're having symptoms of TB or Latent TB, i prefer to visit this clinic. Expert Doctor and friendly staff especially the Ex ray guy. Nominal cost to coduct all types of test. Great counselling provided by Dr Shanmugam

I met the doctor for my lung infection and had a very good treatment.doctor took care me very well.

Had a great experience over here were doctor speaks politely and good.

Doctor consultation and treatment is good but their staff not response good. I half day spending the hospital and their staffs not response good

One of the worst experience my mother faced by visiting this clinic. There is no zero rating if it was there my selection would be zero.

My mother visited this clinic on 17/06/2023 at 11.30am. She was suffering from asthmatic cough so one of the doctor suggested us to visit this clinic.

she visited by 11.30am but she was attended after 2 hours, if Doctor was busy in attending the patient means it’s understandable but he was continuously seeing the sales representatives. If it’s only for money minded why to ask patient to visit in clinic??. I too seen doctors who keep selected timing to see sales rep for any discussion. But here he was seeing multiple sales rep from 11.30am to 1.30pm while attending patient. Then what importance he is giving for patients???

There was totally 6 patient before my mom.

My mother requested the receptionist whether they can allow to see doctor bcoz she was waiting for long time and having severe cough. But no response by the receptionist also.

The worst part started here, finally after long waiting period she met the doctor at 1.30pm.

He asked what’s the issue, my mother started saying her problem but inbetween he allowed sales rep during her visit and he is listening to sales rep product details.

She said due travel and she got this cold or cough in English. But he was asking her why you don’t know tamil like that. She spoke in mixed language English and tamil to explain technically because she is also from medical background. And this how he say back for making explaining easily???

When my mother coughed during her explanation or during his business talk he immediately told my mom to go out and cough. This how he can treat the patient???

My mother asked whether she need to go out each and every time she cough?? He said yes.

And he said you talk too much.

She told coughing is her problem and that’s the reason she came to see this doctor but he is asking to go out and cough.

My mother got upset and asked this how they say this to patients. He immediately started talking about, do you know how many people died in covid and you are coming here and coughing like this. Do you know how many people are dead bcoz of covid and many vip or politician are dead.

I really don’t know, if we have health issue immediately we think of doctors to seek help. But if doctors like him are there then what we can do?? For him life is more important I don’t know why he selected this profession.

There are many doctors who dedicated their life and being doctor is not an easy job. Next to god we believe only doctors. But the way he talked and reacted my mother got hurt.

Also for the information during the examination my mother was wearing mask. She know this basic common sense. She was working in Saudi Arabia as assistant Nursing director for 25 years. She know the situation and gave that respect to this doctor.

But he completely humiliated her and she just got angry and walked away from that clinic.

We see doctors to share our issues but he telling to finish the cough outside and come inside. Listening to sales rep details while attending the patients.

All this are really acceptable????

I hope I didn’t humiliated him here and just shared what he has done that day to my mother. I shared this review not only for my mother but also for other people.

Finally I wanted to say this, having all certificate and education doesnt give any value or respect. One will gain respect by how he s treating the people.
