Very large Shiva temple, very peaceful and serene, less crowd, pure bliss, spend time in this temple in the evenings or mornings, three storey height huge compound walls on all sides, front and back gopurams are big. Lot of small temples are inside. Beautiful corridors all round, don't miss this temple, must visit, it's 14 km away from Vellore.

A huge Padal Petra Sthalam in Virinchipuram with a lot of history of more than 1000 years old. Many married women come here to pray for early motherhood. The entire temple is very clean and very well maintained. The Pujari was very helpful with the history of the temple. A Time Stone stands in the complex.

One of the ancient temples with good architecture. This Temple has a lot of history to describe its greatness. There is a belief that if people come and take a bath in the 3 therthams they will get a child. There is one more story, we all know lord shiva cursed lord Brahma, because Brahma told a lie to Shiva I have seen your head. Because of the curse lord Brahma born as humankind in his next gen worshipped lord shiva in this temple and relieved from that curse.

I am a Muslim by faith, I accompanied my fellow Ophthalmologist to this magnificent Saiva temple dedicated to Lord Margabandeeswarar and had a serene experience with the most affectionate staff who explained the architecture, history and spirituality associated with the centuries old temple. The Tamilnadu government has made proper arrangements for food preparation, serving and disposal in the Temple premises with dedicated staff for the same. Children were learning Kailasa Sangeetham reverberating within the tall granite walls adorned with rare trees and flowering plants swaying gently to the music in the breeze! Unforgettable!

A beautiful temple with a very tall Shivalingam . The front pillared pavilion has many interesting sculptures . The Devi is called Maragathambikai. The temple has a good collection of bronze utsava murthis .
There is a huge and colorful Lion Well or Singa kinaru in the outer prakaram .
The town is very close to Vellore and can be seen from the Bangalore -Vellore Highway .

It's an ancient Hindu temple located near Vellore, in Virinjipuram, is renowned for its powerful deities Margabandeeswarar (Shiva) and Maragathammal (Parvati). It is a peaceful place, providing an ideal environment for spritual seekers who want to meditate and introspect. Despite efforts to maintain its tranquility, the ambience and aesthetic beauty of the temple suffer due to the thoughtless actions is done devotees. It is disheartening to witness these individuals defacing the temple walls with their names and symbols, disrupting the sacred atmosphere.

I visited this old shiva temple while returning from Arunachalam to Tirupati on 10.11.2022. Most of the cab drivers are not aware of this temple, which is just 12 km from Vellore. That is why we do not see many pilgrims visiting this temple. But its a very old temple worth visiting once

Virinjipuram temple is situated near Bengaluru Chennai National Highway after crossing Pallikonda Toll & nine Kms before reaching Vellore new Busstand. This is a magnanimous temple with prakarams constructed of Chalukya style with a very tall Gopuram. There is a belief that through underground tunnels Kings, Queens & Royal personnel reach Vellore Fort & vice versa in times of war, emergency, enemy attacks etc., so that future Royal generations can survive the enemy assault. There is a legend that during Utsavam periods when Utsav murthy leaves the temple, there are no darshans in the main temple till Utsava Murthy completes the cycle to other noted places & returns. The temple is vast, spacious, clean, well maintained, poojas are conducted regularly as per Agama Vidhana, regular annual celebrations conducted when thousands of devotees congregate. Such a nice temple in a village the green serenity, calm, no pollution, no rush, no hurry, divinity, orthodox gives peace of mind for worshippers. The temple can be reached from Katpadi station, turning left after the bridge towards KV Kuppam, Gudiyatham road. After Virinjipuram Railway station walking through shade, amidst green fields, no traffic, cool, leisure, pleasure added for about three or four kms to reach Virinjipuram. Near Railway station, TNEB substation & concrete poles production exists with quarters for essential service personnel ,& electricity bill payment counter. Good place to visit, enjoy, worship, divinity experience etc. Well maintained temple. Dr.K.V.Murali

Arulmigu Margabandeeswarar Temple is a huge ancient and historical temple. It has huge compound wall and famous for the statues. This pillers are huge and covered by more number of statues. Inside the temple at the end of each corner there is a mandabam with more number of pillers which are really amazing.
Another important one is the sun clock, how exactly it shows the time with sun shadow.
There are two separate temples for Lord Shiva and Lord Amman. The statues inside are also beautiful.
There is one tank (Theppa Kulam) inside the temple is really different and with difficult architecture.
Very good destination for devotes and tourists.
