Panskura Junction

There are six platforms in Panskura Junction railway station. The platforms are interconnected with a foot overbridge(FOB). The ruins of the historic cities of Tamluk and Raghunathbari are approachable from Panskura Junction railway station.The major facilities available are First class and Second class waiting rooms, running room, computerised reservation facility, reservation counter, vehicle parking etc. There are tea stall, R.M.S. and Government Railway police (GRP) office. Automatic ticket vending machines are installed to reduce the queue for train tickets on the station.

Panskura railway station or junction is most important railway station for South eastern railway. If want to Kharagpur or medinipur go for platform no 2 and 3. If you want to go howrah, mecheda, Bagnan, Uluberia then go for plat form number 4 and 5. And platform no 1 is for Haldia and Digha local.

Panskura Junction (পাঁশকুড়া) is an important station in Purba Medinipur district, enroute Howrah-Kharagpur trunk line of South Eastern Railway. Panskura is an important agricultural trade and educational hub in the district.

All suburban EMU/MEMU trains in this section stop here. Also, several mail/express trains stop here. Haldia and Digha line branches out from this Junction.

It has 5 platforms accessible through wide ROBs, unreserved and computerized reservation center, 3 Ticket Vending Machines (ATVMs).

To avoid long serpentine queues in ticket counter for suburban tickets, scanning QR code in UTS app is advisable. One can find these QR codes stuck in posters near ticket counter window.

The station underwent a renovation recently with a better looking facade, freshly laid platform tiles, stainless steel benches, better signage and a dedicated parking lot.

Station premises are maintained and cleaned regularly, but there's a wholesale vegetable market nearby, occasionally creating garbage and chaos in the area.

A well maintained bus stand is located very close to the station, from where you can get buses to locations like Mechogram, Ghatal, Burdwan, Arambagh, Trilochonpur, Tybageria, Tamluk. Frequent e-rickshaws (Totos) take you to Panskura Bazaar, from where you can get many more kolkata bound private and SBSTC bus options. National Highway 16 (Bombay road) is 20 mins away.

It is my station, very good environment, neat and clean , it has bath first class and second class waiting room, every body like this station for its environment, it has a RPF post , a RMS and a children park too, local market, bank services, and bus stand is very close from here, both ladies ans gents toilets are situated outside here, it has six platforms, a very busy station it is

It's more crowded than any big station of South Indian 😂 but it's really true sir actually it's very important places in our locality main point of our agricultural transport and fruit supplier from this place

This a junction of Eastern Railway. It connects Howrah with Haldia, Kharagpur, Digha etc. This is very clean station. You will feel better in the afternoon over here. The sky used to look beautiful at that time. Panskura is a very old city. It is having a big market place. You will get all you required items from there. Most of the places near Panskura used have harvesting field. They use the railway transportation system for all there communication with Howrah/Kolkata. I have captured attached two images during afternoon. See how beautiful those are.

one of the busiest railway stations of the district ..everything is fine,but the authorities should improve the ticket vending system from the ticket counters. Though there are 6 counters here, only 1 or 2 remains open which causes long lines and extreme chaos

Panskura JN is the place that we can go to Digha,Haldia and Tamluk JN very easily. This place is we can trade or business very profit. We can go to Horah JN and Tamluk JN, Haldia and Digha, Ghatal. Thus is populated area . It has a large market .
