Very good place to stay with affordable budget and have tasty Kerala foods. And liquor is little costy .

It is a massive hotel with several decades of experience .The service was very good .I checked-in around 10pm and the staff was very kind .They have a very amble parking with security.The rooms were all clean and tidy and something to note especially is that the rooms are all very much spacious ,i had a kind sized bed ,2 bed tables,a chair ,a table and a teepoye .The tv was also working and the bathrooms were also very clean and hot water is available 24x7.The also provide a complimentary breakfast which is provided at their restaurent in the ground floor.The food was South Indian with fresh juices and tea and it was yum.

Over all very good .. staffs were very friendly and helpful . It's a 60+ year old hotel but the rooms are so specious.. a standerd room consists of a big toilet+ a medium dining room + a big room ..

Adiquat parking + a good calm resturant .. there are 3 i guess but other two are bar .

We chose Maharani for our stay & a friends get-together on 24th May '23. Our choice of the hotel, was proven right, by their clean rooms, prompt room service and a cordial staff.. Thier restaurant is great! and a the well- loaded bar! Will choose Maharani, whenever we will be in Calicut next time 👍

Availed a two bed AC room here recently for a day. As we had taken a train that arrived at the Calcult railway station at midnight, we had infomed the receptioninst in advance about the out of time arrival. The hotel is not very far from the Railway station, which was quite advantageous. We took an auto rikshaw from the station. The receptionist was waiting for us. After we checked in, we were taken to our assigned room and a technician arrived us to help demonstrate the workings of the AC. The door to the suite opened to a small guest room with a small coffee table with two chairs. Another small table had a coffee machine with all the necessities to make coffee or even tea. We were complimented with two half litre bottles of water as well as two small bars of soap. There was also a small refrigerator in this space. The small room opened to the main room of the suite, and it was quite a big squarish room. There were two beds neatly arranged with blankets and pillows and the bed had two bedside tables on both ends. Apart from that, there was a wall mounted television with cable connection. Apart from that, a small dressing table, a set of two sofas with coffee tables and a large closet was there in the room. Another dining table with two chairs were also present in the room. The toilet was quite large and basic with a shower, laterine and a wash basin. A set of bucket and a cup was provided as well. Hot water was available in the morning but I am unsure if it is available throughout the day. A bonus addition was the discovery of a long room adjacent to the main room. This room also had a work table, a wall mounted shelf with mirror and a chair. Towards the end of the room, we also found what looked like a rack. There was complimentary breakfast buffet to boot. We were provided with breakfash coupons in the morning. The restaurant was on the groundfloor and across the corridor near the entrance. The breakfast consisted of hot puttu, pazham, payar, egg curry, idli,vada, sambar and chutney that day. Tea/coffee and pinapple fresh juice was also available. The staff were courteous and helpful. The room was great; everything was working and the room was neat and tidy and there were plenty of amenities to suit our needs. Food was nice, staffs were courteous. Parking slots were aplenty (though we did not make use of any that day) and the location of the hotel was not very far from the centre of the city. Definite recommendation!

Good location within the city, but with its own tranquility. To dine, stay and spend fruitful rendezvous....cool.

Nice ambience. One of the famous hotel in Calicut. nice bar there and terrific rooms as well. all the waiters are nice and great service. and last but not least the food there it's awesome! really homely touch to the pickle and superb dishes as well. I had a great time there. whenever you visit Calicut I recommend you go there and feel the ambience!

Loved the restaurant but that's the only service I used. Lot of dishes on the menu and nice and well behaved staff that are polite even though it's harder for them to understand different languages. It was the first and only time I tried Puttu (Steamed rice and coconut in a cylindrical shape) and Kappa Vevichathu(tapioca) and they were amazing.
