Gandisagar Sanctuary is spread over Mandsaur and Neemuch districts of Madhya Pradesh. Whose area is 368.62 square kilometers. The Chambal river divides the sanctuary into two parts, east and west. About 240 species of birds including mainly leopard, hyena, jackal, chital, chinkara, nilgai, bear, otter and migratory birds are found here. There are possibilities of settling Cheetah here in future.

Gandhisagar Sanctuary is a major forest area located in Mandsaur district. This sanctuary is on either side of the Chambal river in Mandsaur and Neemuch district. Chambal river divides it into two parts. Leopard, Nilgai, deer, fox, jackal, rabbit, many types of water birds, crocodile are found here. This place is the main conservation site of the extinct Indian vulture. Safari is likely to start here soon. Gandhisagar has immense potential for conservation of wildlife. It is expected that soon this sanctuary will play an important role in taking the wildlife of Madhya Pradesh forward.
