Yousmarg is a hill station in the western part of the Budgam district of Jammu and Kashmir, India. It is situated 53 km (33 mi) south of Srinagar, the summer capital of the state.Yousmarg provides space for beautiful landscapes, young pine nurseries, green pastures and heart touching lotic and lentic water bodies. Nilnag, Doodhganga and a nascently created artificial dam adds more to the beauty of the meadows. Nature has bestowed Yusmarg with pleasant flora and fauna. Yusmarg is often referred to as a trekkers paradise.Yusmarg has some modest stay options but some new homestays have come up around the area.Tribe homestay and café located at the nearest village Nagbal is gaining popularity especially among the youth. The place is rustic, wooden and reflects the Kashmiri architectural heritage. Among fauna, locals claim that they often sight wolves, bears, apes, cats etc.

Yusmarg in Kashmiri translates to The Meadow of Jesus. Although there is no historical or archeological record, it is said to have been visited by Jesus. It is an alpine valley covered with snow clad mountains and the meadows of Pine and Fir. It lies 18 km (11 mi) south of Charari Sharief, a town in Budgam district of Jammu and Kashmir. It is situated at the bank of Doodhganga River which is a tributary of Jehlum River. It is located in the Pir Panjal peaks, a sub range of Himalaya. The Peaks are: the Sunset Peak and the Tatakooti Peak for which the expeditions lead from this hill station. It lies at an altitude of 2,396 m (7,861 ft) above sea level.....

Beautiful place but no good place to have lunch. There is one resort named as Zeezayn Huts & Resorts who was giving lunch but it was so bad that we didn’t eat a single bit. We just tasted and left after giving him whole amount. Everything was having some smell in it. He initially said that he will be quick and wasted our 2 hours there. Apart from that it was good. We didn’t observed any snow there and thay have pony rides so one can visit waterfall but it was too far so we didn’t ho there

Decent place for 1 day trip. Takes around 2.5 hours from Srinagar. Once you reach the entrance its 2-3 km hike towards a river side.

Lovely place to visit. We took horses to Dudhganga. It was an amazing experience. The path is through a bit of jungle with little ups and downs. It was a lovely ride. The river is beautiful. You can enjoy some time near the river with tea and other snacks. Overall a very good experience.

The location is the only place, i visit frequently but the point is that the beauty you would experience around the main location is just mesmerising!

If you are looking for a valley experience which has less crowds and beauty Yousmarg is the place.
We left Srinagar at 8am and reached Yousmarg at 10.
Hardly any crowd was there.
It's a beautiful lush green valley with very nice locals.
We took a pony to visit all points like strawberry and cherry point. Cobra point, river point.
At the river point there is a maggi and egg corner.
Ponny usually charges between 1000-1200.
It was a surreal experience. Must visit.

The perfect Tourist Destination for those who want to spend time with Nature. No Artificial beauty has been created here only natural beauty you will see there....

Kasmir is known as HAVAN on earth. I think this is the right statement. If you want to go to a silent place. This is the place you will try. Amazing view of nature and gives you happiness. Love 💖 to the place. Also a very important point is that there you'll find very supportive people not like Himachal Pradesh and Uttrakhand people ask extra money for everything like at tourist spots they are 30 rupees for 20 rupees thing like water bottle. But at Yousmarg you find shopkeepers selling on MRP and at such a height. One more thing you should have a local contact there. Then while walking distance of 1 km you will find Dhoodh Ganga an amazing river.

This is one of the places in Kashmir that feels like heaven on earth, yousmarg valley is beautiful and mesmerizing.
This valley is situated around 64 Km from Dal lake Srinagar.

You can get basic accommodation here not fancy 3 or 5 star hotels.
We went on around 15 August and during Amarnath yatra so security was extra high in whole Kashmir.
Always carry your physical ID card and driving licence if you are driving.
But the views are so mesmerizing

Yusmarg is approximately 47 km from the Srinagar and lies in the Badgam district of Jammu and Kashmir. The two-hour drive to the place is an enjoyment in itself. Grassy pastures stretching to acres of land, the dense forests full of pine trees, with the backdrop of splendid snow capped mountains leave you almost speechless. Within commutable distance from Srinagar, the capital of Kashmir, Yusmarg is the perfect place to go for a picnic. It is possible that after reaching this place, you may want to even stay for a few days. Specially, for the lovers of long walks in picturesque locales, Yusmarg is the place to be.

Personally, for me this was the best tourist spot in entire Kashmir. The place is very underrated and there aren't many tourists compared to Gulmarg and Sonamarg. Anyone who plans to visit Kashmir must keep Yousmarg on their list.

You'd love this place for vast greenland, but for heaps of dung everywhere. This place is poorly maintained and like the district itself it's being neglected. Be ready to lose network and data connectivity when you reach here.

It’s a great place to visit. It hasn’t many tourists so you can visit it peacefully.

Lush green meadows surrounded by forests offers really a magnificent view. Wild in its beauty, no artificiality added, a heavenly piece of land. Doodhganga is the stream nearby but it is painful to see it almost dried up.
