Martyrs Well

Beautiful renovation and the light and music show was very informative and intriguing.
Must visit and attend the show which starts at 815 pm (Hindi version).
Do visit this place before sunset to enjoy the rest of the bagh, as you won't be allowed to move around during the light and music show. And as soon as the show ends, the place is closed and you are asked to exit.

This is known as Shaheedi well. To escape the Jalianwala bagh massacre on 13th April 1919, people jumped into the well. About 120 dead bodies were retrieved from the well. Currently the well is covered from all sides. Do not throw things or money into the well.

A must place to visit when in Amritsar.A nostalgic & patriotic feeling one gets after seeing the martyr's well,bullet marks ,light and sound program and best the memorial built in memory of people who laid thier lives to get Independence to our country. Martyrs well is in Jalian wala bagh Amritsar. This well is the witness to Jaliawallan bagh messacre of 1919. Visiting this place will link you and your soul to freedom fight and sacrifices made by Our great freedom fighters.

This is a tragic Well where people sacrificed their life in order to not killed by Heartless Bustard General Dyer and save the nation's pride. It is covered by glass. Lots of people throw offerings in the well to pay tribute to martyrs.

It's an amazing place. A tribute to 1919 jaliawala baag Martyrs. This park is now newly developed there are more gallary area they made in side the park. Where you can see the pictures of the jaliawala baag in those days and story behind it.
Previously it has one entrence area and the same area I used for the exit. But no they isolate both now exit area is open up in the market area.
Earlier there was no ticket system but looks like in the future they are planning a token system same a metro.
Enterance also they chane notify can see the pictures on the walls.
More green area and we'll maintained.
Seriously I loved this place and it's just walkable distance from the golden temple. And you can cover this within 1 hr.

After Golden temple😍 this place is d most tourist attractions place. It has d history of brutial rules of🇬🇧 British Empire. The grill mesh-covered well at Jallianwala Bagh is d place where 😢hundreds of innocent, unarmed men, women & children jumped to escape from d bullets fired by 💂‍♀General Dyer's men ( British) in April 13 1919. Still how ever visiting this place recall🤔 about d massacre which is marked as one of d leading causes toward India’s freedom🇮🇳.

You can have goosebumps visiting this place. Please read the history before entering here. I could hear many people saying " just a dry well......" Please take your children and tell them the story so they can know our history. Worth watching. It's near the main Gurudwara. After you come out a lane full of shops. Do remember to bargain when buying suits and dupattas...

Old vs new look. Prefer the old. It was a remembrance of what happened. The new look happens to be modern. More of garden, rather loosing the plot. But still it's a must visit to know the brutal history and what past we come from.

Post renovation, Jalliyanwala Bagh has turned out really well. The art galleries, the cleanliness and the most amazing light and sound show were all awesome.
