Netravali Wildlife Sanctuary

It’s really a beautiful waterfall, must visit this place. On 19th Jan 2024 I visited this place, it’s a superb experience to travel by scooty. Fishes in the water do spa to your foot.

It's must visit place for waterfall and nice and peace environment. Roads are nice. 150 Rs ticket for 1 person. There are two main waterfall one is easy one and 2nd one is Mainopi waterfall 4.5 km hike.
Both are good waterfall and must visit.

5 reasons to visit netravali

Number 1: I visited goa in Monsoon, and dudhsagar was closed, and I was in south goa. Therefore, it was the best option to experience waterfalls in goa

Number 2: it was less crowded, which means you can better experience the nature

Number 3: less expensive compared to dudhsagar. It cost us 400 for 4 people whereas dudhsagar would have cost us 2k per person

Number 4: Not as far as dudhsagar. It was a 1-hour drive from colva Beach

Number 5: short trek of 30 mins.

Netravali WLS is the latest addition to the Goa's already rich bouquet of WLS. It is adjacent to Bhagwan Mahavir WLS and Cotigao WLS in South Goa district and on the eastern boundary of the state. The nearby beach is Palolem which is about 45 minutes when descent through Ambe Ghat. It is a dense forest and has a fantastic waterfall by the name of Saveri. It is home to special bird species like Malabar Whistling Thrush, Great pied HornBill, Black Panther, King Cobra and many more.

Saveri Waterfall - This is the one of the top attraction and the trail leading to waterfall is just beautiful. You have to cross multiple small streams on the way and that adds to the excitement. We were a group of 11 people with 6 adults and 5 kids between 5-12 years age group. The kids managed trail well albeit and enjoyed walking through stream. We spotted many birds on the way. *Tips* : 1. The one way time is about 45 mins and if you want to spend good time at the waterfall, you should budget for 3 hours at the minimum. The forest department restricts the entry after 3.30 - 4 pm in the afternoon, so you need start early. 2. If walking through the stream does not excite you, you should wear water-resistant sandles/shoes. However, be ready to get your feet wet :)

Birds spotted : We were able to see multiple birds including Rackettail drongo, Greater flameback woodpecker, green bee eaters, egrets, pond herons and more. We were not lucky to sight any mamals other than langoor.

Operational Time : 9:00 AM to 4 PM; there is a forest department office where you need buy a ticket to enter the WLS.
Items to carry : Mosquito repellent, Binocular, Camera, Pair of extra shoes (optional), Torch, A hiking pole or wooden walking stick
Time : Ideally you can spend a day here between 10-4 over here
Restaurants : You need to carry your own food. There an option of having food at Tanshikar spice farm nearby which provides excellent food. However you might have to tell them upfront

The most beautiful place in Goa visited this year... Reaching there is easy with the help pf Google maps.....
You will feel the serene silance and at the same time the sound of nature, Sometimes it's birds, sometimes it's water streams and at times the wind....
Place in the lap of nature....

One needs permission to enter the property. Inside there are two waterfall 4-5km away from the main entry. The riverlet trail is mesmerizing. Dont mess around in bushes the ants are poisonous and bite sting is painfull. On the way you may find bubbling pond. Overall makes a decent trek.

This is a must visit place of south goa.

We visit both savari and mainapi waterfalls.

Best one is Mainapi waterfalls…there is tough trek of 4.5 kilo metres to reach there. It took us 2 hours to reach there and 1:45 hours to come back.

Savari takes 25 mins to visit.

Both waterfalls are beautiful but Mainapi is the best one according to me.

Awesome experience of shallow depth waterfall at Mainapi and Savari water falls. The trek to the waterfalls were thrilling and exciting. The trek for Savri fall is about 1km and for Mainapi waterfall 4.5 km. Though unable to sight any wild animals. Strawberry farm is also there worth visiting in the Netravali. There you can see farming of Strawberry and buy fresh strawberries then and there only. Overall a great experience.

This is an awesome place if u want to visit Goa for its natural beauty, serenity and peace . One can find many local people selling Bananas, pineapple nd other locally produced food ,do give a try to them . They will definitely taste different as they are untouched by commercialization. Hence are native to this place. We went to a local lady who served us omellate nd Pav-bhaji (gave is this native Goan vibe ) . There are not much people here so no rush . You can talk to local people .It is such a unique experience in its kind.

There is one spice farm here . Which have one day package for tourist . Where u have trekking, jungal safari etc . You can try that also

Loved the experience here.. Must visit during monsoons.. There are a few waterfalls within this Sanctuary which is accessible with 15-20 minutes walk..
Savri Waterfall is a 1.7km hiking trail from road you can visit Savri for the best experience of your life.. The walking trail is pretty steep but it’s worth it.. you need to take permission from the main entry for entering with your car and reach till the walking trail..

The place is all about nature🌱🌱 don't miss this place in Goa

It's a Beautiful Sanctuary, if you visiting for waterfalls, Mainapi has a walking trek with up and down roads which take around 2.30 to 3hrs in total just to reach, do carry Dettol & wear socks inside your shoes, the rocks are too slippery and wearing shoes won't help, need to walk with socks on the destination, overall the Mainapi Waterfall is just worth all the trekking. Avoid taking aged family members and kids..

This Sanctuary is just perfect for an adventurous break from the routine life. The best way to explore it on two wheeler. It’s generally a two hours drive to this particular destination.

Must visit place in South goa. It was so peacefully and I enjoyed the travel. Greenery everywhere and I found out only single digit people in the waterfalls. It was so nice. It’s took nearly 1 hour to travel but it’s worthy. Prefer to go in bike to enjoy the nature.

This is hidden gem in Goa. The sanctuary is beautiful and a scooty ride makes it more attractive. The best part is the waterfall where we experienced natural fish spa.

Awesome Netravali waterfall. There are two waterfalls 1) Mainapi & 2) Savari.. Both waterfalls are incredibly beautiful.

Fantastic waterfall in wildlife sanctuary.Located in south goa near quepem.Must visit place,even four wheeler allowed with pass.15-20 min walk to water fall.Every tourist should go there.
