Great experience of a hill ride and waterfalls. The road can get slippery in monsoon. The uphill has to be carefully driven while travelling in 2 wheelers. Take the ticket and keep your thing in the locker room and enjoy the nature.

Very nice location for a day out.

No phone connection. Hence, you will need to carry cash. There is a Jeep drive for about 2.5 kms uphill. They charge 250 one way. Else, you can walk, but it's steep offroad, save your energy for the water fall .

It's not for everyone, elderly will find it difficult to climb down to reach the water fall using rope. If you can It's really worth it.

There is also a spot above the main waterfall. That's really good if you want to experience water fall directly on to you.

Best place to get away on a weekend, preferred only for boys, cos it has a rope to get down to the falls. It is kinda slippery but safety is a concern. Tickets price ₹20 per head.
Entrance was a small adventure ride for bikers. They tend to keep it clean. There is a toilet available and it's clean. Staffa are friendly too

The most wonderful waterfall I have ever seen. A small waterfall and has a good ambiance.
The place is a little bit dangerous because one of the ends is a little deeper and has hidden holes. So take care when you're entering the water. The watch camera is also fitted there so if you're entering without permission then you will be caught

Although it belongs to Malappuram district, many people still don't know about the beautiful Kerala Kund waterfall. Said to be a part of the Silent Valley, this area is blessed with uninterrupted water flow even in summer. Abounding in rocks and nature's handiwork, Kerala Kund is a favorite among tourists.
An off-road journey of about three kilometers. Specially prepared four-wheel jeeps, twenty rupees per person. It will be delivered almost to the gate. Then take the ticket and go to the waterfall.

Went during peak monsoon 2 months back
Fully drizzling my phone got spoilt taking this video
The road to this falls is narrow and need off roading last 1 -2 kms
When we went jeeps were not available and 2 bikers stayed down as they are not used to off roading
Bathing was not allowed and u ll know the reason when u see the video
But in the end it was worth the ride

A place to embrace the beauty of the nature🌄...Must visit this place. This place is located in the outskirts of karuvaarakundu which is 25 km away from perinthalmanna.Hardly you have stores near to this place. There are no room facilities for stay near to this place. You can go for perinthalmanna for room stay.

This is a small hill. You can travel easily on two wheeler. But on car you can up to some distance. After that you can walk up to the entrance. However I suggest you can take jeep Safari.Jeep safari is available about 2 km away from the waterfalls. You can park your vehicle there and can take a jeep ride. Two shops are available for refreshments near to the jeep stand. You can experience the real mountain ride on the jeep.

The entry fees for visiting the falls is only 20 rupees. There are facilities available for dress change for men and women. You can take bath and have fun with your friends. And also a beautiful place to get amazing photography.

Very beautiful waterfalls that falls in different levels. The water is so clean and cold. There is ~4km uphill trekking to reach the fall. The place is surrounded by forest and rubber plantations. The waterfall location is well maintained with washrooms and changing rooms. Take the service of the jeep when you're climbing up because it's very much exhausting, but while climbing down you can do it on foot.

This attraction comes under the tourism department of malappuram and they have made this place accessible to people with all the basic facilities and there is a ticket charge of Rs 10 per adult. Food, toilet facilities are available within the compound itself and there are some very good options of local food available with very friendly staff and clean premises.

How to reach?
* The best way to reach this place is by train. Take the Trivandrum - Nilambur road Rajya rani express and get down at Melattur or Tuvvur. From there you will get bus up to Karuvarakundu. From karuvarakundu you may need to take auto or jeep till keralamkundu.
* If you are coming via bus or private vehicle, deviate from Perinthalmanna towards pattikad and take the Kariyavattom, Vengoor, Melattur route.

Once you reach keralakund, you can either take a 4×4 jeep ride or a bike ride if you have one or trek yourselves to reach the falls. Its a 3km trek and it's very steap rocky roads. The jeep people charge Rs 300 for dropping you as of October 2016.

My experience:
Me along with my other 6 friends started from kochi and we took train and reached melattur. since it was a harthal day we had struggled to reach the place. we had to walk, got lift etc (but it was fun).
The place is well maintained than we have expected and it's amazingly beautull. There is around 4 or 5 small falls from the same water stream and you will have to get down via the whole stairs to reach the mighty pool (kund). You would be able to see a great top view of the falls to the kund and the kund itself. The water is crystal clear and was able to see the pebbles on the water bed. We reached there by 7 and the water was freezing cold. Regarding the depth of the water, on the shores it's okay and can go up to 5 meters with the same depth and then it's very deep and that too with a steep. Also you will get a pull towards the falls (deep area) due small whirlpools. so be extra careful when you get into water.

Though getting into the kund is not restricted, the tourism department didn't laid steps to the kund hence it's little difficult to reach into the water. we will have to get there by a small climb through the rocks. Be careful with this also as some rocks are very slippery.

It's a must visit place for all thoste who seek adventure and thrill in life but don't forget about your own safety and others. Go through the pictures to get more idea about the location.

One of the best place to visit in Malappuram district. This place is beautifully maintained. Water is so natural and clean as sky.
It needs a long walk to rech the waterfalls after parking which is highly recommended if you are with your friends. Children is safe to swim with parental control.
There is entrance fee for entering the waterfall area. Even though it is safe for children I do not recommend this place for elder people who are struggling to walk.

It's a good Eco tourism. You can't jump into the circular pond but they provided elevated stairs to capture all it's beauty.
You can make a small dip in the water above the waterfall which is slightly in up hill from the waterfall.

The way to the waterfall is stoned , there is Jeep available . If you want to enjoy quietness of trekking then choose walking from bottom 2km up hill slope of 20° to 50° .

If you don't want crowdy then choose morning time 8:30- 3 pm and no week ends.

The area is Eco friendly so avoid plastics

The water fall is habitat of so many butterflies . You can see a group of butterflies stinging there. Let them rest there please.
