Maharshi Bharadwaj Statue

A great statue of Bhardwaj Muni is made beside the gate of Bhardwaj Park, Balson Chauraha Prayagraj.
It symbolises the devotion and adoration of people as they tried to keep their spiritual heritage live.
This Statue is brown coloured.

Bharadwaja also spelled Bhardwaj (Sanskrit: भरद्वाज, ), was one of the greatest Hindu sages (Maharishis) descendant of Rishi Angirasa, whose accomplishments are detailed in the Puranas. He is one of the Saptarshis (Seven Great Sages or Rishis) in the present Manvantara; with others being Atri, Vashishtha, Vishvamitra, Gautama, Jamadagni, Kashyapa .

Bharadvāja Bārhaspatya is the progenitor of the Bhāradvāja family and the family is attributed as the composers of Sixth Maṇḍala of the Ṛgveda. Maṇḍala 6 is known as the Bhāradvāja Family Book as all its 75 hymns are composed by a member of this family over several centuries. He is believed to be a contemporary of King Bhārata. Maharṣi Bharadvāja and his descendants were respected and powerful priests-like ṛṣi of several clans/dynasties of the Puru tribe, such as the Bhāratas and the Pañcālas.

Sage Bharadvāja was a sage of the Vedic times. He attained extraordinary scholarship. He had the great power of meditation.He is also the author of Āyurveda. His Āśrama still exists at the holy Prayag (Allahabad).

निह्संदेह ऋषि भरद्वाज की बहुत ही मनोरम प्रतिमा है। ईश्वर ने प्रयागराज को बहुत ही सुन्दर बनाया है। काश यहां के सभी निवासी भी ऐसे ही स्वच्छता के प्रति सजग होते!

ऋषि भारद्वाज जी से श्री राम मिलने आए थे और उन्होंने ने ही चित्रकूट में भरत को श्री राम से मिलने को बताया था.. यह स्थल प्राचीन आश्रम रहा करता था, जहां 10 हजार छात्र शिक्षा लिया करता थे.. शासन द्वारा सफाई पर आज कोई ध्यान नहीं है यहां., आस पास अतिक्रमण है...

प्रयागराज के मुख्य चौराहों में से एक भारद्वाज चौराहा है। यहीं एक साइड में ऋषि भारद्वाज जी की प्रतिमा स्थापित है। प्रयागराज आने वाले सैलानियों के लिए यह एक विशेष स्थान हक जाता है क्योंकि यहीं पास में आनंद भवन भी घूमने के लिए है। भारद्वाज पॉर्क में प्रवेश के लिए टिकट की व्यवस्था है जबकि अंदर ज्यादा विशेष कोई व्यवस्था नहीं की गई है।

कुम्भ मेला 2019 के समय चौराहे का सुंदरीकरण हुआ और महर्षि भरद्वाज की विशाल प्रतिमा स्थापित की गयी,जो कि लगभग 60 फुट की है ।मान्यता के अनुसार भरद्वाज मुनि का आश्रम जहाँ भगवान श्री राम वनवास के समय आये थे यही वह स्थान है। मूर्ति के कारण चौराहे की सुंदरता देखते ही बनती है।
