The Cedar Grand

Stayed at Cedar Grand during our vacation in Shimla. Location is pretty good as Railway Station is at a walkable distance. Mall Road and the Ridge are also nearly 800 meters, although has a steep climb. Rooms are very spacious. On site restaurant has a wide variety. Taste is bit on mild side for our liking but quality is exceptional. Overall service and hospitality is excellent. Breakfast spread is decent if not elaborate and lacks dessert like cakes or pastries, generally expected from a good hotel. Same day laundry delivery is a perk.

From the moment we stepped into the lobby, we were enveloped in an atmosphere of luxury and warmth. The staff greeted us with genuine smiles and impeccable hospitality, setting the tone for an unforgettable stay. Our room was a haven of comfort and elegance, meticulously designed with every detail thoughtfully curated. The breathtaking views from our window left us speechless, offering a picturesque backdrop to our experience.

This hotel is like your other house in Shimla. Awesome staff, great food, clean hotel.

Keeping it brief, the service was top notch, the view from window - beautiful and the assistance - prompt.
The hotel has everything at a reasonable price (if you go there with a group), and has ample parking space, it also has a Gym, a Kids Zone and all the amenities one may require to enjoy their stay at a hotel.

One of the best hotels to stay when you visit Shimla. The service is excellent - every request is catered to in a matter of minutes and caters to a high satisfaction level. The breakfast and dinner selection of food items in the buffet are delicious as well. It is extremely close to mall road as well and their rooms on the fourth floor have a beautiful view of the valley.

During my recent visit to Shimla, I stayed in Cedar Grand Hotel, which I must say is undoubtedly the best hotel in Shimla. The hotel also offers a range of amenities, including a well-equipped gym, a spa for relaxation, and a dedicated concierge service to assist with local excursions and activities.

Loved the hotel overall. Great entertainment for the whole family. Room service was always on point and the food tasted great. The location I feel could be a little better in terms of proximity to mall road (be prepared for a 15 min uphill walk).

Beautiful property at an excellent location. We took a family suit. Rooms are mountain-facing. All through the day, it is a feast for the eyes. Different shades of beauty at different times. Mall Road is at a distance of 15 minutes with some upward climbing. If one wants to avoid it, he can opt for a ride to the Lift which takes one directly to Mall Road and the Ridge. Staff members are always helpful and cheerful. No word is enough for the Reception personnel. Always ready to cooperate with a smile. The Breakfast is good but lacks variety. No cold cut which is not expected from a hotel of this standard! Menu card also lacks variety, but these are not major issues. The dining room also offers an excellent view of the mountain. An illuminated view of the city at night, either from the room or dining place, is a great pleasure to the eyes. Definitely come back to this place on our next visit.

Right on a busy road, next to Bus stand and close to Mall lift.

Excellent interior and facilities. Very comfortable.
Good view to valley. Impressive interior.

Breakfast.

Excellent buffet breakfast. Wider varieties of food available. Prompt delivery. Live counter is excellent.
Staff are polite and highly professional.

Very nice hotel with amazing hills view! It has cozy rooms, all of them with big windows coming to the valley and hills! The room temperature is pleasant even in cold weather! Breakfast is really tasty, though it's not a buffet system now during to pandemic, but the scenery from the panoramic windows of the restaurant is breathtaking! The stuff is polite and ready to help you! Overall it deserves its 4 stars! But here I give 5 out of 5!Me with husband had a great stay there!

I am a frequent guest for this hotel since 3-4 years for my business trips sometime it's solo sometime with team. It's really a nice budget hotel with all basic amenities in the rooms.
Great location. It's at a walking distance from Mall road. Great food. Neat and Clean room. Great staff. The valley view is so great that you would end up being happy with the overall experience.

A bit walk to the Shimla Kalibari., but beautiful view from there 5th floor restaurant, the included breakfast was awesome, on demand Dosa, omlette, the thin alu paranthaa was superb,

Excellent property, perfect location, free parking ,few minutes’ walk from the main mall road.A very well appointed and tastefully decorated lobby with Poetry cafe.
In all a wholesome experience and I look forward to my visit again…
