oSaptashrungi or Saptashringi (Marathi: सप्तशृङ्गि, Saptaśrr̥ṇgī) is a site of Hindu pilgrimage situated 60 kilometres (37 mi) from Nashik in Bhartiya state of Maharashtra. According to Hindu traditions, the goddess Saptashrungi Nivasini dwells within the seven mountain peaks. (Sapta means seven and shrung means peaks.) It is located in Nanduri, Kalwan taluka, a small village near Nashik in India.

The temple is one among the 51 Shakti Peethas located on the Indian subcontinent and is a location where Sati's (wife of Lord Shiva) limbs, her right arm is reported to have fallen.

The trolley used, to reach the hill top, was an amazing experience. It was like a cabin or coach with 5 to 6 entrances.

It is a Hindu pilgrimage site in Nashik. This temple is one of the Shaktipeethas located on the hill. The route to the temple has beautiful view and divine atmosphere. The idol is carved in a cave. The goddess is eighteen arms (ashta- dasha bhuja). The temple has undergone renovation recently also with creations of many facilities. In this process, approx. 2000kg sindoor was removed from the idol due to which the very ancient and self styled form of the idol came to the fore. A train is provided which makes the darshan easier and faster. It is convenient for elderly people. It costs 110rs each. I recently went to this lovely temple; the idol is large enough to be noticed from a distance.

I love to travel and it is one such destination for religious lovers and the mountains. We started with a wonderful journey towards Vani. On our way, we had enjoyed the lush green atmosphere and heading towards the mountains, the feeling has became even more thrilling. We enjoyed taking snaps of each other and we proceed to the temple. After visiting the spot we were more excited to explore the sight seeing of mountains and peaks. The view was really amazing and we got one dumroo and we kept playing that. Heading to temple and the mesmerizing beauty of the temple has completely changed our thoughts. Devotees come here to have darshan and blessings from Mata Ji. Overall it's a wonderful place to explore.

This temple is one among the 51 siddhi peedh.

It's very famous temple.

We have visited first time.

Connectivity is little challenging.

From Nashik Railway Station you have to go to CBD. From CBD local buses are there but they drop you 9 km before the temple. From there either cab Or again Local bus we have to catch. Cab charges 50 per person.

There was quite good rush due to weekend.

It took almost 3 hour to darshan.

Ropeway is there at a cost of 110 per person but again some Queue are there as well.

The temple is one amongst the 51 Shakti Peeths of the Indian sub-continent and is dedicated to Goddess Sati. The Goddess is believed to be self-manifested on a rock, on the face of a mountain surrounded by seven peaks. According to Hindu mythology, body parts of Sati had come apart from her dead body and fallen at different locations as Shiva danced his Tandava with her body carried on his back. These places became sacred and came to be known as Shakti Peeths. It is believed that Sati’s right arm fell on this region. The idol of the goddess is about eight to ten feet tall, smeared with Sindoor and adorned with many ornaments.

Over the years, this temple has undergone many renovations. Various facilities have been added to the premises in keeping with the times to accommodate the large number of devotees who visit this place as a pilgrimage. Thousands of devotees visit the temple during Chaitrotsav.

The facilities arranged for physically challenged and senior citizens are really commendable.

Wheelchairs, helpers and lifts especially arranged are so helpful.

I was surprised by all these arrangements, as my aged mother didn't have to climb the steps.. All the arrangements were in such a way that she was taken direct to the main door of the temple.

Saptshringi nivasini mata is represented by a huge idol with 16 hands. Her Aura instantly attracts.

We went there from Nasik on the way to Saputara. Road.is good. Ride to hill top is very smooth and approach road is excellent. There was huge rush and took us 2 hours even with the funicular. No social distancing in the Corona times, even though they insist on mask....
Parking provided near the ticket window so don’t fall for the parking touts directing you to buy from their stalls.
The funicular rope way is well organised for even the elderly or wheel chair bound to reach the top. Care take that not more than ten persons are taken in each funicular car compartment and elevators provided along with helpful attendants along the way. The winding line once you reach the top is disciplined and you get glimpses of the Devi as you walk the route. An extremely inspiring Darshana well organised and made convenient by technology.
The splendid view from the top is breathtaking.

The journey towards the temple was very smooth. The roads are in good condition and many hotels and dhabas on the road to take a break.

The infrastructure in and around the temple are well built with ample of parking space and the newly built ropeway is a boon for small and elderly.

The rope way ticket can be booked online or else you can directly get at the window. For adults they charge 100/- two ways fair and for kids they charge 50/- two way fair.
It stars early morning by 4:30 and late till 10:30pm

Please don’t at bhakt Nivas managed by the temple committee. It is not maintained properly. The place is shabby and not comfortable for stay. You will get good options in less than 1000/- to stay in private rooms.

Its place such a wonderful and you got chill and peace of your heart and mind as well as this place is full off enjoyment there's scene make your days 😍 beautiful and smiley 😊. The hills can heal your treas and you feel wonder .

After the rainy season it's the perfect time to visit.
A cable train takes you up there. The newly revamped temple gives infinite blessings of Mata Saptshrungi Devi. Views of saputara hill range is a blissful sight too.
