Kuanria Deer Park

Dasapalla is situated 40 kms from Nayagrah, where we can find forests with incredibly lush flora and fauna. Dasapalla is famous for its jungles, animals and trees. Here the Government has constructed a water project named Kuanria Dam. It is one of the most interesting picnic spots. A deer park close to Kuanria is another attraction. Dasapalla is famous for Mahabir Temple.

Kuanria, a picturesque getaway, about 50 kms from Nayagarh, comprises of a huge reservoir flanked by blue hillocks and a 1.5 kms long dam over River Kuanria. Among the top attractions is a large deer park spread over 6 acres by the river basin. The park is home to about 160 numbers of spotted deer, barking deer and sambar. A large number of migratory birds also flock to this reservoir during winters. The tranquil beauty of the hills, river, forests and the deer park make the place a much sought after retreat by the tourists. Tourists can avail medical facility at CHC, Madyakhanda and CHC Dasapalla which are nearest to the place. SBI Dasapalla is the nearest Bank to the spot.

A good picnic place with wildlife view. Full of Funna and Flora. A Deer park is there where you can see more than 300 deers. Also a temple is there. You can bath, swim . A better place to have Picnic with friends, family

About 100 deer are kept in the deer Park which is very well maintained.. You can also have good leisure time to observe deers. There is no entrance tickets.

A great place near Dasapalla town for outing. On SH NO-1 The kuanria dam offers a very exclusive view of sun set . You can also enjoy bird watching near the dam. A deer park is also there where children's can spent their time. Also you can see famous RAVAN PODI FESTIVAL on the Eve of Dussera.
