Kuanria, a picturesque getaway, about 50 kms from Nayagarh, comprises of a huge reservoir flanked by blue hillocks and a 1.5 kms long dam over River Kuanria. Among the top attractions is a large deer park spread over 6 acres by the river basin. The park is home to about 160 numbers of spotted deer, barking deer and sambar. A large number of migratory birds also flock to this reservoir during winters. The tranquil beauty of the hills, river, forests and the deer park make the place a much sought after retreat by the tourists.

I liked it so much.The time i spent there was amazing.There are shades to sit and enjoy the natural beauty. This is a famous tourism place.Here a deer park is also present so that you can see the deers from near and feed them. The dam provides good environment for fishery.In the local market you can get fresh fishes. You can also get fresh honey and other medicinal plants from the forest around the dam.

This is a perfect picnic place for family and friends too.It has too many undiscovered places within.Good for some formal hangouts with colleagues as well as informal fun with friends.Well maintained place.So much things to enjoy.There is a deer park,2 dams one smaller one and another one is pretty big.Recently many construction activities carried out there which only add an another level to the existing fun.Temples ,bridges,sittng places etc are present in abundant numbers .A Must visit place with so many roads to discover.
