Temple exist since the time of Pandavas.

There are 2 Swayambhu Shiv-Lingas here, one is of the form of Ardh Narishwar. Very auspicious.

The route for this temple goes through many twists n turns and while on the route, people have marked ॐ, ॐ नमः शिवाय on the rocks, stones, etc. on the side of roads which is a sight in itself.

There's a pond built on a side of temple.

Langar is also available here.

The temple is situated in Shivalik hills in Chatara Village in Una District of Himachal Pradesh.
It is said that the Pandavas spent their time in exile in the Himalayas and Shivalik hills. During this, he did severe penance to Lord Shiva and Goddess Durga.
It is said that this is the only temple in India where both Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati are seated together in the Shivling.
People often visit this temple.
