Must go place, one of the best place. Kshetras. I have taken 100 tickets. So I was able to finish the Darshnam in 15 minutes. UPI and Credit card will not work here so please keep cash and preferably change. They have decent card parking. This is one of the five Pancharama Kshetras that are sacred to the Hindu god Siva.

Manikyamba Samedha Bheemeswara Temple Draksharama is one of Panja Rama Kshetram and 12th Sakthi Peeth where Left Cheek of Sati Devi fell. Sri Veda Vyasa mention about this temple in the Skanda Purana. More than 2000 years old temple and the present structure was built around 9th century. Very well built with two tier Sanctum Sactorium. Tall Lingam have to take darshan from ground and first floor to have full darshan of the Lord. The Nandhi Bhagawan is very artistically carved. Sri Manikyamba Shrine is facing south. Very big temple with two tier prakaram and with parking facility

Situated in Draksharamam, a town in the East Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh, the Manikyamba Devi Temple stands as a revered shrine dedicated to Goddess Parvati, recognized as one of the 18 Shakti Peethas in India. Commonly referred to as Dakshina Kashi, translating to the southern Varanasi, this temple holds immense significance and sanctity.

The temple's roots intertwine with the poignant legend of Sati, the first consort of Lord Shiva, who met her tragic end by self-immolation during her father Daksha's yagna. The cosmic dance of destruction ensued as Shiva carried her lifeless form. In an attempt to pacify Shiva, Lord Vishnu intervened, severing Sati's body into 18 pieces with his discus. The left cheek found its resting place in Draksharamam, giving rise to the Manikyamba Devi temple.

Functioning as one of the five Pancharama Kshetras, the temple venerates Lord Shiva as Bhimeswara Swamy. The colossal crystal linga, standing at 14 feet, is believed to have been shattered by Lord Kartikeya during the slaying of the demon Tarakasura. The temple, adorned with majestic architecture, including two mandapas, two walls, and four gopurams, was originally constructed by the Eastern Chalukyas in the 9th century and later underwent renovation by the Ganga dynasty of Odisha. Drawing devotees nationwide, the temple becomes a focal point of spiritual fervor during festivals like Maha Shivaratri, Navratri, and Karthika Masam.

We visited this temple when we went to Annavaram, it was so peaceful and it was very old temple, it is one of the Pancharama Temples and one of the shaktipeetam temple. This temple is nearer to another Pancharama Temple called Kumararama temple which is located in Samarlakota.

There will be Annadanam daily in this temple from 12:30 to 2 in the afternoon. Food is nice.

Temple will be closed at 12:30 and will open again at 4 pm.

Great Historical monument where Lord Parameswara exists to bless the needy.

But unfortunately the temple is not getting renovated and going down.

Let the Govt., open their EYES to attend the renovation without any delay.

It is one of the pancharam kshetras in Andhra Pradesh and it is believed to be one of the sites where daksha yagna has been performed. I have visited this temple many times as my native place is near to it, and every time I visit this temple, I get positive energy and I feel energised and one can get a great view of the temple tank near the temple and have a quality spiritual stay.
