I am studying in Government Engineering College Dahod in Mechanical Department. I think among all the GEC. Mechanical is the best department in Dahod because of Well experienced faculty and good teaching quality of all the staff members.

Government Engineering College, Dahod was established in June 2004. It falls directly under Commissionerate of Technical Education, Education Department - Government of Gujarat. Government Engineering College Dahod is approved by AICTE and affiliated to Gujarat Technological University (GTU). The total built up area of college is approx 17 acres which also includes hostel facilities (to be started in near future) near college. The college campus has four academic blocks, a workshop block, a library block and an amenities block that houses canteen, sports corner and girls common room.
GEC Dahod started with the intake of 60 students each for civil, mechanical, electrical and electronics and communication department. The intake for civil, mechanical and electrical branches has doubled today making it 120 students intake for each. The intake is 60 students each for EC and Computer Engineering department. Civil and Mechanical departments also run Post Graduate programs affiliated to GTU each with intake of 18 students.
GEC Dahod holds few of the most experienced, senior teaching staff comprising Professors and Associate Professors along with talented young brigade of Assistant Professors and Lecturers in all branches. The teaching staff is always inclined towards supporting students in their all round development. Extra Curricular activities in college are given due importance and a constant effort is made towards improving students performance.
The college has more than 2400 students studying under various UG and PG programs.
