A hundred year old mosque built by Dalhousie jute co.The honourable imam of this mosque, Maulana Hafiz Qari Haji Syed Ahsanul Muzaffar Hasani Barkaati, is a descendent of Prophet Mohammad(Sallah o Alaihewasallam).He is the khalifa of hazrat allama Ahsanul Ulma of Marehra sharif and sajjada nashin of Khanqah-e-ubaydia.He has established an anglo urdu medium school after the name of his uncle Mufti Abdul Wali(Rahmatullah Alai) who was also the Imam of the Central Mosque of West Bengal in Kolkata, Nakhuda Masjid.The present Imam of this masjid gives the lessons of Hadith after Maghrib Prayer.His hounorable wife gives islamic lessons and speech to the Islamic Women on the basic tenets of Islam in weekly congregation in Maulana Abdul Wali School premises at bansbagan.The mosque is being reconstructed.The cost of construction is estimated to be about 1 crore. So the generous muslims across the globe are requested to make handsome contribution in the construction.
