Just received my ordered biriyani from salkara in a well packed and good temperature condition. It was delicious to eat and delivered on time just by a call.
But still I am confusing about the recipe that used for chicken masala (it's chicken but taste like mutton- by the way I really liked it)
Please let me know what type of pickle which you guys included in the biriyani box. I think it's dates pickle..

It's not comparison it's far better the biriyani which I had from Lulu paragon restaurant.

We ordered from the train. The delivery guy gets your food to your coach once you mention them your train number and coach number. You gotta order a little time before your train reaches Kozhikode railway station. We ordered chicken biriyani and biriyani rice and it was simply the best!!! 😘

Salkara Restaurant is run by the famous Paragon Group and this restaurant is located within the Platform. No.1 of Kozhikode railway station. The taste of the food they provide, be it Biriyani or meals, is of high quality. You can expect heavy rush and long waiting times during lunch times due to space constraints. But the staff manages the rush well and makes sure that everyone gets a seat and food of their choice.

I ordered chicken biriyani while traveling in a train from Kasarkod to palakkad.
Within 40 minutes they delivered the food at the comfort of my compartment seat

My parents were travelling by train late evening, unfortunately they couldn’t found any food since afternoon till 10 pm in train or other stations.
I just called them over phone from Pune just 10 mints before train reaching Calicut station and they delivered at the coach where my parents was travelling without food over 8 hrs

Food was too good..But I believe they served something beyond that.

Salkara is known for its food, but I want to say that they are so genuinely kind too.. I would want to thank the elderly gentleman and the person at the billimg counter in the Salkara takeaway at the railway station- such good people..Thank you gentlemen, God bless you for your helpful nature.

Didn't expect such service from a restaurant operating in a railway station platform. I called them just half hour before my train reaching in calicut station, and ordered chicken curry along with porotta and chicken biriyani for dinner. I never hope that the guys will be there for delivery on time. But breaking all my expectations delivery boy was there on time near my coach for the delivery. Comparing with railway food the taste was literally mouth watering, delicious and fresh.

When I felt hungry from Kozhikode railway station I never chose a second option always prefer Salkara restaurant. You would get delicious meal with fish curry just for 89 rupees. The only problem was the seating capacity of this restaurant was too low. Because of this seating capacity you May wait a little y to caught your favourite food. They serve chicken biriyani, Vegetable biriyani, meals with fish curry etc etc... The attitude towards customers was good. So when you are in Kozhikode railway station chose Salkara definitely your stomach felt that different taste and quality.

The best non-veg hotel in railway station. It has a high speed take away system and they also do delivery to train compartments.

Very tasty biriyani And service too I had chicken biriyani at 2:46pm. It tasted very good. Salad and pickle were also tasty. Price was 190.

I recently had the pleasure of dinning at Salkara Restaurant and it was an nice experience. The quality of the food and service were both top-notch, and good atmosphere. Overall I would highly recommend Salkara restaurants in Kozhikode.

I can’t believe that they deliver even 1 Biriyani to a coach far away from their restaurant! It is the part I look forward to the most during my train travels :)
