This temple is located in the heart of Calicut city and the temple is filled with intricate carvings and artwork, and the atmosphere is one of reverence and devotion.the temple devasom also offering free food for the visitors.

Overall, our visit to the temple was a truly incredible experience. It was a beautiful and peaceful place, and we left feeling grateful and inspired.

One of the most popular and devotees highly preferred temple of calicut city. Here Deity is Lord Mahadeva(shiva), the ambience is very attractive specially who wanted to pray peacefully. Mahashivarathri is the most celebrating festival of the temple, Every year it will be one week festival, 7days before Temple hosting a Flag related to the festival, this is named as Utsava Kodiyettam ഉത്സവ കൊടിയേറ്റം, In that evening main priest named 'Thantri' doing some special poojas to Dhajam and flag and raising the flag. Utsava Kodiyettam Sadhya is one another speciality here. From that day onwards 7days temple offers delicious lunch സദ്യ.. So many orchestra and dance programmes are conducted every days.. Temple is very devotional and some vedic and rudram related classes are conducted inside the temple by free of cost..on shivaraathri day the 'Thepparadhotsavm' is also performing at temple pool. In that day Three elephants are participating in 'sheeveli ezhunnallath'.

The temple is open on all days from 5:00 am to 12:15 pm and from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

Pleasant temple and has its own historic importance . Its a very much spacious temple with a calm environment . The temple is beautiful so that photography is best with its premises as background . We can see a bunch of pigeons which gives a nice feel for our eyes and mind

Opening at 5am.. Visited @ 5am.. This temple is founded by sree narayanan guru, great siege and social reformer.. Shivalinga is the main idol.. Its also called puthiyambalam ( meaning new temple).. There is another small sivalinga which was got from the temple pond.. As it comes out of water there is constant jala dhara for this sivalinga.. Its called aplinga..
Maha vishnu, ganapathi, lord ayyappa or sasthavu, subrahmanian and parvathi idols are there..
Another big pond is also outside the temple.. Daily except sundays there is annadanam ( meals) for 100 persons at afternoon..

And nava graha idols are also there..

The temple is situated in the heart of the city with multiple access. You can choose the road adjacent to Indoor Stadium or through Pavamani road. 4 wheeler access is not possible through Mavoor road (near to KSRTC bus station). The temple is illuminated and attracts devotees from far and near during MahaShivaratri which lasts for 7 days. Bhajans are conducted all these days. Aaratt accompanied by elephants is a good treat for the eyes.

Beautiful temple in calicut . It is near to calicut new bus stand . Good peaceful atmosphere temple pond and parking area is right side of the temple and hall also available here for weddings and expect sunday all day annadhanam is here morning also. And first time I have visited a hindhu temple which is no need to remove shirts of gents

Peaceful Place.. It's a Lord Shiva Temple.. One of the oldest hindu temple of Calicut. It also has various hindu God's idols all over the temple. During the Mahasivratri the temple is decorated with lamps and beautiful serial lighting is done all over the temple. U also get to see a flee market during the festival with lots of local street food available.
