Very spacious. Choose South stand for best visibility when you take gallery ticket. If tournament in evening time before 5. Do not choose South stand because sunlight will be a big problem for you.

When you prefer VIP ticket . Will not give anything extra on visibility but you will get an armless Plastics chair to sit. Prime area in east stand will get reserved for VVIP's .

Preference for east stand to get chairs only

Best football stadium in Malabar region of Kerala. Home stadium of Gokulam Kerala FC, the only kerala team who plays in the I-League,second tier football league in India.

The match experience would have been better if the gallery is adjacent to the football pitch.Right now,the gallery is too far from the pitch and it makes too difficult to watch the match.

It is the largest stadium in kerala in terms of capacity. It have a capacity of 80000. But it is not an international stadium. An old stadium.

The stadium is currently the home of I league side Gokulam Kerala FC and holds more than 90,000 people[citation needed] and was built in 1977. It is equipped with floodlights for conducting both football and cricket matches. The stadium is named after the Communist leader E. M. S. Namboodiripad who was the first Chief Minister of Kerala.The stadium was reconstructed and reopened in February 2005 by hosting the home matches of SBT in the national football league.[citation needed]

The stadium has installed improved floodlight. It is renovated as international stadium for football and cricket. The stadium may also be leased to Kerala Cricket Association while Kerala Football Association would like the stadium in their possession.[citation needed]

The construction of the grand stand will raise stadium to international standards. It will have state-of-the-art facilities, including a VIP lounge with seating capacity for 200, a VIP lounge, a dressing room for players and a media centre.

It was recognised as the best football pitch in India by the experts and the media.[citation needed] It was the home ground of Viva Kerala FC in the I-league, though now Quartz is the team from Kozhikode trying to get into I League. It was also the home ground of Gokulam Kerala FC In the I-league. This stadium is famous for the football crazy fans of Kozhikode.[citation needed] Famous scissors cup finals, super cup finals, Santhosh Trophy, Sait Nagjee Football Tournament is held here. The stadium is the home ground for Gokulam Kerala team in I-League since 2017. Gokulam Kerala had won their first I-League home match against East Bengal FC for 2–1 and Shillong Lajong FC for 3-2.

Stadium is in exact centre of the city so reaching won't be a problem.. But parking is a big big problem 🥲

Its the home ground of the well known Gokulam FC. I went there last year.I stayed in an appartment nearby.I went there for Gokulam FC trials.Unfortunately the date fall upon a stike day.Since the stadium was just near several restaurants and homestays I don't felt any discomfort even on that day.Really at the core of the town.But I would say that the grasses in the ground are not regular that it affected my gameplay.But better than Kannur Jawahar Stadium.
